  • can you or anyone else help me i have been looking for those led's to do my dashboard i bright white or blue like yours and i wanna get the leds but cant find them please help me you say ebay but what do i look under or if you can find them for me the please tell me.. i have a 1999 oldsmobile intrigue..

  • How'd you remove the needles? I have an 03' civic cluster and I can't get the needles out but I don't wanna cause damage,

  • I like the KMPH : )

  • I admire the skill and patience it takes to complete a project like this, great job!

  • @johnniesi thanks

  • btw, does anyone know what if i could put leds behind my cluster on my 06 f-150? i also want to change out the bulbs behind the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel, the power window and lock buttons, the temp controls, ect... like will i have a problem with it shorting or will i get some error message on my dash cause the bulbs dont work? it doesnt say in my manual what type of bulbs but im wondering if its just a plug and play kind of deal and i wont have to do any wiring

  • yup, replacing one bulb can be an all day project. im not gonna dig this project on my f-150

  • How did you remove the cluster? did you had to remove the dashboard or was it relatively easy? thanks

  • @DSCKSR it wasn't easy on this car. I had to remove the top dash board. then the black shroud around the cluster. once out i had lost of disassemble including removing the gauge needles and electronics from behind.

  • The round thing on which transformer is drawn what is that called i totally forgot and i wanted to get that in like other colors

  • How much does it cost 2 install those lights???

  • @MrEsekaka I buy my LEDs from Ebay and spent maybe $1-2

  • I hope you all know that they sell those led bulbs now adays put together and straight plug and play for you're dash no solder needed and cost like ten bucks a pair what might have taken you weeks can be done in 20 min

  • @alonzo133 I am sure there are many after market items out there to fill your needs at a cost.

Myself, i am a DIYer, this project took an hour or two and cost under $1. There is no fun in buying something when you can have the enjoyment of making it yourself.

  • HOLY SHIT! EVERY DETAIL IS AMAZING!

  • If you have some time one day or on a weekend you should try to make a DIY on how to make those overlays. Sounds kind of tough to do... I would like to try to make my own and so would my buddy with his Scion tC but don't know exactly how to go about it.

  • @RileyOlson Things are busy right now. Haven't had much time to respond to my YouTube messages.

what I did was took the whole thing apart so I could scan the instrument panel. then I imported it into a photoshop type program. Then I overlayed the images and blocked out the parts I wanted.

then printed the layer on paper and saw how it fit overtop the panel.

once I was happy with it, I got it printed on an overlay at staples. Cut them out and taped to the cluster.

  • All veacles are 12v today but if you messure from + to - while engine is running it would possable say some thing like 13,80v and would be swinging alot, that is a good sign meaning that your dynamo is putting out good woltage if it would of sayd 12 there would something be wrong, and that you messured 14v is only one logic answare, its to be able to fill upp your 12v battery if its lov :) Every car is called 12v but basecly they are 14, they are just sticking with old messurments. The Mecanic:)

  • What i plan to do with my life?

Get into vehicle repair and customization.

    Purchase a Honda Civic.

Fix it up midnight racin' style.

    Make some money.

  • @zacheriajoseph You aren't going to make a dime with a pos honda. Do yourself a favor and buy some muscle. I have a 400 hp 77 Chevy monza ss spyder that cost me the same as my STOCK 98 civic. you do the math.

  • @canablebananas You're kidding right? Honda's are incredibly reliable. And they have an amazing re-sale value. And finding parts for a classic like that will cost me more than it would to fix up a Civic. Do the math.

  • @zacheriajoseph The difference between me and you is that I actually own both of them. The civic is shit and I'd have a hard time selling it for the 4k I got if for, which was a "good deal" at time of purchase. It is also low mileage, at 123k. The transmission is already going out so the gas mileage is shit also, which is the only bonus to having a honda. The Monza, on the other hand is ready to go! I'm into it just over 4k and have had offers for 8k +, I'm just not ready to sell it yet.

  • So I guess you're right... Go ahead with the civic. Not trying to be a know-it-all deushe/dick, altho i come off that way. Just trying to help but if you don't want it I don't really give a flying fuck either.

  • now i kno who bought off ebay's LEDs reserves

  • this is so rice

  • @ooikwf some people like being creative and not going on youtube to call shit rice.

  • really like the l.e.d's

  • you should make a video on how to remove the instrument panel.

  • Not bad : ) I would want white though : )

  • very nice indeed !

  • Dude you did an awesome job.

  • if i replace the bulb by white led of the speed o meter, would it b ok... ?? I've a civic 2002.. ! Also shud i connect the resistor as well ??
