@17hmr243 i actually have 4 old dvd/cd writers...old school desktop kind. those work?
@hifeyracer yep just start unscrewing all screw and ull soon find the magnets there near the laser just start taping things with screw driver ull find where they are
are these hard to pull apart? i saw that a round disk with 1" diameter and .75" has a pull force of 46 LBS!

never at ached it to direct steel
but even using it with pvc end caps on its bugger to get off
drag it to a edge and lift to side then pull
there and wooden door stopper wedges u can try to pry under
