thats not a big deal with machine . if he did with barbell then its pretty impressive and doing excersice with classical method lead you to make muscle defination beautiful.
when I was about 15 maxing in the 245-265 zone I could put on 4 plates per side on this machine and just go to town thinking I was so tough lol. now I know most people at the gym were laughing inside.
well, 90% of the general public think using machines = lifting weights......so it's not his fault, commercials and fitness magazines just promote this kind of stuff
The two elements missing from lifts like this are the gravity and control components. If anyone doesn't believe there is a distinct difference between this lift and the flat barbell bench, just watch this guy try to lift 340 flat with a bar. He might get ONE, if he's lucky - and it's doubtful he will be able to control the weight.
he might only push up 275 and that's if he's used to it. The Hammer machine he's using doesn't work any stabilizing muscles. bu his progress would be pretty rapid relative to others who are not as strong. and that is all the time I have to share my vast amounts of infinite wisdom. tune in next time as I try to balance the federal budget of Iceland and feed the hungry. lol. fucking youtube know it alls.

That is a lot easier than doing 340 on the bench
