....As much as I do not like the CCP, China just is NOT ready for democracy! Most of the people are uneducated peasants, living in enclosed rural villages with no access to the rest of china. PLUS China has one of the world's biggest populations, 1 billion + people. China does not have the infrastructure for a full-fledged democracy like the US.
Democracy is not suitable for developing countries. It is bureaucratic when China needs to modernise fast to compete with the world.
