I love this song - it was played at my brother Sal's funeral this past September when he lost his battle to 11 months of ALS-upper Bulbar. I thank God his was not as prolonged as some stricken with that insidious disease. Another friend just lost of father to ALS yesterday and while there is nothing we can do to bring them back, I find this song gives me comfort knowing that Sal was in His palms as he continued his final journey Home. :o( Miss you brother :o(

Its been a year ago today (Sept 3, 2011) my dad was called home. This was our favorite song at Church and I can never sing this song without crying. It was sung at my friends funeral which my dad and I attented together then a month later he passed away and it was sung at his funeral. Then a month after he passed my son was born (Oct 2, 2010). It was a tough year for me and my family. This song, Here I am Lord, and Be Not Afraid are all songs I can't sing without crying.

This song was played at my great grandmas Booth's funeral. One of the most angelic women to walk this earth. And I hope to be as forgiving, caring, and lovely as her someday. Till I meet her again she's in heaven where god took her in December four years ago. I love you grandma=}

Almost 11 months ago this song was played at my best friend funeral. I miss him every day and the days I miss him the most I listen to this song. I know God took from all of us way too soon but I know he had his reasons. I just wish I could have one more hug or one more be careful or I Love You. This was sung at my dad's funeral for the first time by the New Jerusalem Singers (I was part of them) in 1984. Every time I hear this song it sends me to another place and I lose control of all of my tears. God love you dad I miss you so very much still after all of these years!!

Its been a year ago today (Sept 3, 2011) my dad was called home. This was our favorite song at Church and I can never sing this song without crying. It was sung at my friends funeral which my dad and I attented together then a month later he passed away and it was sung at his funeral. Then a month after he passed my son was born (Oct 2, 2010). It was a tough year for me and my family. This song, Here I am Lord, and Be Not Afraid are all songs I can't sing without crying.

@roberiacomacci Exactly those images are being put in the place of God they are robbing him of his true beauty. True faith is being sure of what you hope for and certain of what we do not see. What you are saying is dont take anything in the bible literally. The bible also does not say you may not do drugs, does that mean we should all start doing drugs now? If everything had to be word for word the bible would be to large to even read, thats the beauty of the Holy Spirit.

God himself rejects the idea ""You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth" We should not be wiser then God, if God wants us to be taught by the Word let it be so, using images therefore goes against God's power. Sure what the Lord himself says should be enough nothing else needed.

Surely if you are going to claim Sola Scriptura, or ONLY SCRIPTURE and be literal, when I meet you in heaven you had better have no eyes and no ears and no tongue and no hands, for if any of those things cause you to sin. @paulinesmith44 If you read the bible, you come to faith through it God teaches us not by means of dumb images but by the pure word of God, That ALONE should be enough.When I think of Christ I do not automatically think of him as a physical image I think of what he did. Also Romans teaches us, TRUE FAITH is being sure of what you hope for and CERTAIN of what we DO NOT SEE!

my grandpa has been battling cancer for over 5 months now and after just visiting him for the last time i will always remember the way he last looked at me
doctors only tell him he has 3 days to live
his wife died a few weeks ago and this was played at her funeral and it always remind me of them both
i love you both and i miss you both so much! <3

@vetro11 yes jesus did say this but he was referring to those who would believe in him both before and after His life and even during his life but were not able to physically see Him. Jesus had a physical body so of course people are going to automatically equate Christ with the physical images that we now have of Him. no one is robbing Christ of his true Beauty. they are not mocking his image but simply putting a face to a name if you like. pictures are only tellling a story
