  • I'm Proud to be Chinese .....My nationlaty is Vietnamese, but i'm Chinese....:)

  • what crap.. total fake.. see the clouds on earth change in last 20 seconds..

what were they thinking while making this fake space program, that everyone is fool like them and no one can catch their lie.

  • Hey where are the hoax idiots bitching about the flag waving?

  • i heard they had their left directional on all the way through the re-entry.

  • I'm american and all I have to say is...this is epic...

  • This is the first time i see this space walk. Thanks. ;)

  • Unfortunately this wasn't a wake-up call to the US. We have been going nowhere in space for the past few decades yet the chinese can do this in under 10 years...

  • I was starting to think the US Northamericans were the only capabale of doing it. Thank to china for this relief. And, yes, I said north-americans not just americans.

  • @13jonny89 Have you forgotten about Russia?

  • you just fucking jealous so keep your mouth shut

  • 2009 to Mars.

  • lol, they faked it. its so obvious.

    1. It is impossible to get a live feed of that quality down to earth.

    2. Did u notice the flag? It doesnt float like the flags in the russian and US spacewalks. Its whipped around by a water current.

    3. If u look closely, u will notice small air bubbles floating up and accelerating.

    4. They obviously use spotlights.

    5. Name 1 time china has done somthing that hasnt been done already and makes it seem like a big deal

  • No, it's not obvious. It's not impossible to get live feed of this quality down to Earth. If we got good quality video from the Moon back in 1969, we can today. Also, you say that they filmed this in water: if it was in water, we would see bubbles, etc. every time somebody moved. You can't see anything whenever the taikonaut was waving the flag.

  • so so jealous huh

  • @soraspsp - wow, you're a bit stupid huh. It's quite ironic you should say that 'Name 1 time china has done somthing that hasnt been done already and makes it seem like a big deal', as a lot of what we think are western inventions were actually invented in China before we even existed as countries...

  • @soraspsp go look at Mythbuster's video about flapping flag in airless place, it looks just like the flag waving in this video

the flag wavings much more violently in vacuum places from momentum because there is 0 air friction

thats why a lot of ignorant morons thinking that the flapping flag in the apollo landing was faked.. but the truth is they do flap even more violently/faster from momentum than they do on earth or in the water

  • @warset I think you will find they proved the flag does flap in space , but only when the pole is moved by somone. Not on their own.

  • the time is not problem.because not many country can do it

  • It's about time. We need more countries working to push out into space. The more being able to take a stab at it, the faster we'll advance the technology.

  • Why is the quality so clear?

  • very exciting!

  • Good Job China. Peace from Europe! You have bypassed us. Should have expected that since our lame Euro Politicians have as much vision for the future as a door nob.

  • Wow, very cool - well done China.

  • I guess china got an army of bloggers and up voted pro-chinese comments, and down voted anti-chinese comments. I just wonder when this comment will get deleted or down voted.

  • you ignorant fuck

its no wonder ur country is populated with idiots like you when ur parents breed with their siblings

  • Space Walk History (EVA)

    Russia: March 18, 1965

    USA: June 3, 1965

    China: September 27, 2008

So 43 years is a little bit behind.^^

  • True, but you need to take into count what has this country gone through in th past 100 years,...start with civil war between commie and national gov, then WW2 against Japan, then later civil war again, it took 5 years that Commie finanlly took full control of China, ...however, after that everyone thought now we could have peace in final, but then we got 10 yrs cutulre revelution and natrual disaster.....it only actually start rebuild since 1980s

  • In space, no one cares what country you are from or what your religion is. In space we are all simply humans. Welcome brothers.

  • I'm American, and I'd like to say congratulations and thank you to China for furthering the cause of space exploration.

  • @AeonCatharsis Well said. My feelings as well.

  • yeah, it is the INTERNATIONAL space station, afterall, meaning it can't (or atleast shouldn't) be just americans and russians doing the space walks to install and repair the equipment.

  • Actually, the ISS is limited only to the contributing countries. At the time of its inception the Chinese weren't space-faring, and the political climate was such that they weren't really a welcome participant.

  • Very nice greetings from Pakistan!!

  • Proud 2 be chinese!

  • @ZDude5 hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • in the very beginning you can kind of see that the flag is moving without the astronaut waving it. im pretty sure there is no wind in space im not suggesting anything but just an observation

  • if you give some force to anything in the space it will continue to move if nothing stops it. so just by moving a litle bit his hand the flag would continue his trajectory so it will move.

  • Another idiot from my territory. You are another shame of China.

  • 中国万岁!

    love china !!!

    谁敢进犯,定叫他灭亡!

  • blue screen...

    just kidding! hhaha

  • Good job China! step by step, better than ride

somebody else' s rocket to get there! and better than do nothing, Congratulation!!! you

are third nation able to send your own people to space by your own. Very impress. I am not Chinese but proud of you guys.

  • im pround of them too. the more competition the better. it will only serve to get all of humanity into space faster !

  • now if they could just get that pesky pasteurization thing down

  • The UK gives the Chinese government £37million in aid money every year! Why do they need it when they just spent £20Billion on the olympics and can afford to send people into space!!??

  • When lights being shone in your face,do u think can u see me? -to stupid man

  • When lights being shone in your face,do u think can u see me?

  • How do you eat congee in space?

  • To mdecheser: haa haa haa we still need to figure it out XD

  • Developed countries are to far ahead of developing countries. Developing countries should catch up. Anyway, keep up the good work!

  • Brill news for China, BUT there are no stars in the sky and that flag is waving with no wind... aha caught you out.. you faked it all didn't you?

I'm only kidding folks, I don't want to be associated with all the other idiots on Youtube. I have noticed a drop in such comments on the moon hoax clips. Hopefully the chinese will show more of how science is interesting than using common sense; which hardly ever applies in such a complex subject.

  • do you think Chinese people are as fool as you are?

  • No. But I am pretty much sure of that they are stupid as you are.

  • What a newb. No air means no wind resistance. That also means no dampening in the flags movement when you move it.

  • What a noob. No air also means no wind resistance. That means when you wave the flag, there is less dampening in the flags movement.

  • China will be the best country

  • In your dream.

  • looks the CNN and BBC etc have remained silent on this. lol, is that because the financial crisis has drawn their attention away?

    nice work China!

  • China is very good now !!!

  • Congrats China, I wish someday India could catch up to China someday.

  • The Indians I know are equally talented and hard working. I have no doubt that India will be one of the greatest soon.

  • Expect to see more of that.

  • Chinese has the ability and ambition to catch up and surpass the highest level of the world.

    Congratulation!!!

  • lol the flag is so distracting.

    good job China

  • hurray... I wanna do that

  • way to go china! Now, Lets go play a game of b-ball on the moon.

    :)

  • 加油中国! 加油!

    Congrats China and their taikonauts!

  • Its nice to see progress, especially from other countries. Congrats China.

  • Looks like from your reply's to the deleted comments, that you dont like humans? I guess being born in a different parts of the world or having different skin colors makes us bad? You should know WE are all human, our little pieces of paper that say were citizens of sed country doesnt mean jack.

    Peace

  • not all americans are bad especially not obama, only white trash useless americans are jelous

  • THE FLAG IS WAVING. THIS MEANS THAT THE AMERICANS DID LAND ON THE MOON BECAUSE THE FLAG WAVED WHEN THE AMERCIANS WERE ON THE MOON.

people write back to me on this, the americans did land on the moon because the flag waved on it as well.

  • PEOPLE ABOUT THE FLAG IT IS MOVING.

IT IS TRUE THAT THE AMERICANS LANDED ON THE MOON.

FLAG WAVED WHEN THEY LANDED ON THE MOON.

THEY LANDED ON THE MOON BECAUSE THE FLAG ON THIS VIDEO IS WAVING.

please anyone write back to me on this subject.

  • I congratulate China on there successes in space, not all of us leave crap comments and I don't mind rude comments at all but please don't call us fucking Americans.

  • Did China find the American landing spot?

  • Congrats, China!

  • The killing spree in Iraq and Afghanistan doesn't justify China's human rights violations. They are ALL bad things.

  • the flag is not true paper for those who think this is fake and the flag gives it away.

  • Hooray! for anti-American post that don't get deleted...

  • sweet suits!

  • beautiful, comon china!

  • Encore, encore. Good job China.

  • what are you talking about this is a video about a space walk am i right?

  • Go China Chinese 4 life rate up if you agree or if you are shit rate down!!:D China RulZ

  • Hey dude calm down. You're representing here!!! I'm British BTW but i notice you have an anti American thing going on... Why is that?

  • I never said they weren't???

    I'm talking about China here.

But since YOU mention it... What about 9/11 or the numerous world wide terrorist bombings? Both Iraq and Afghanistan pushed the boundries of peace. Simple as that. The human rights policy in China (a powerful country) is upsetting and disturbing.

Now if we can continue with Peace and Progress of humanity that would be great.

  • America's market is in a downward spiral and China has their first space walk. Welcome the two complete opposite spectrums of economy confidence.

  • More and more nations take to the stars, but some seem to forget that we are all human.

  • Good job China !

    Greg from Paris.

  • where are the stars?

  • Someone is a little angst ridden. Just because America sucks does not mean your country does not suck. Sad. Nationalism is pathetic, it is the last refuge of the shallow.

  • Not an easy thing to do. Great Job

  • Congratulations! Awesome job, look forward to seeing more. Space is hard, which means success is delicious. Keep it up!

  • cool, but there wasn't much walking going on.

  • Congratulations China! Good job. Glad all went well. I am from USA and am proud of you all.

  • Congratulations China! It's definitely a huge step forward.

    -Steve, from the Netherlands.

  • congratulations china

  • I dont get it? why is this on the front page of digg? its not that great. And if what gallion said is true than its completely fake.

  • Welcome to 1965 China. Enjoy your stay when you're ready we'll be waiting for you in 2008 - America

  • Waiting for the Chinese money to save the American asses?

  • Hopefully this starts a space race to Mars.

  • Does look fake but only because the cameras are so good. Congrats to China from the US!

  • grats china

  • This is an amazing triumph for mankind, as well as China. I can only hope that all nations can start or further their current space exploration, as it is the future for all of us.

  • he wasnt walking anywhere

  • Where's a video of China actually walking on the moon?

  • so fucking fake, no stars people.. COMMON!

  • haha you are an idiot why would they fake it.

  • people are ignorant, they've said that the US faked the moon landings of the 70s and 69. its just ignorance

  • gratz china.....

  • The Shenzhou VII live coverage was on CCTV-9 (Dish Network) here in the US. It was excellent for its detail and openness (even employing a US commentator), and reminded me a lot of the exciting days of the US/Soviet space race. I'm glad the Chinese are doing this, and in full view of everyone.

  • The odd thing is they didn't even use fuel to get there. They used approximately 25,000 bottle rockets duct taped to the base of their shuttle.

I also read that the astronauts were actually 12 year olds and were picked for their light weight and flexability.

  • Congrats to China! So whens the first sweatshop on the Mars going to be built? "Made by the Red Republic of Mars"

  • i wonder how shitty the space ship was made?

  • AWESOME! nice one guys =)

  • America: take note! Watch as our greed and complacency gives way to a new dawn where intelligence and drive to better ourselves rule the day. CHINA - Welcome to the 21st Century Space Race. I, as an American, welcome the challenge of a new international aeronautics competitor.

  • I'm not from the US but I still think it's pretty sad that you so stereotypically censor other people's comments much like the Chinese government itself.

  • I could make a more convincing video with fishing line and a home made green screen.

  • Who are you talking to? Or are you just yelling to nobody? I suggest you delete these two comments...

    Peace

  • This is amazing, I didn't even know the Chinese had plans to go to the moon. I wish I could have seen this live. Thanks for the video!

  • "you take the flag."

    "no, YOU take the flag."

  • Congrats China. You have entered the vast emptyness of space. Enjoy it with us Americans and the rest of the world.

  • Congrats China.

  • Welcome to 40 years ago China! haha

  • ofcourse china and a chinese person would delete comments, they're communists.

Besides, you're 39 years too late.

  • Great to see China take on what space pioneers (US and Russia) seem to have abandoned in the recent years ... Let's hope this will fuel competition and who knows maybe we'll see human colonies on Mars or the Moon in our lifetimes.

  • goooo china!

  • great stuff all HUMANS on earth shud get together and explore the cosmos and look for the new worlds life an the creator :0

  • Congratulations! Great day for China...

  • Congratulations China. To me, any country that can get its arse up there deserves a pat on the back.

  • A great step for their country. I hope their government will focus on human rights and free speech next.

  • Congrats China!

Promote worldwide unity, be nice to people.

  • dear china, welcome to space, now please start producing our spaceships again so we can join you later on this year for a party, maybe russia will be invited i havn't decided yet.

    live long and prosper,

    america.

  • NOW the chinese are everywhere xD.

  • cao ni ma

    FUCK YOU AMERICA!!!!!!!!

  • I'm American and I think this is great. We need our ass kicked a little.

  • I'm sure this is real and not fake... Just like the fireworks... and the little girl singing...

And congratulations to Xinhua News for getting the order of these news reports correct this time, not like the last time where they reported the great, successful launch days before the actual launch...

  • w/e, just don't let him drive.

    [/douchebaggery]

  • This is great!

  • If this is real, i hope they will not be so secretive about UFOs they see up there, like NASA.

  • Fake.

  • Wow!

  • i it normal for the flag to move that muche? I'm curious

  • In space, you must create the movement so it moves. So, if the guy moves the flag up and down, of course.

But, if he were to just leave it floating, it would stay that way: floating and not moving at all. That's what I read in Scientific American :D

  • also solar wind would move it a little away from the sun. that's what gives comets their tails.

  • Not quite true but close enough. You do get winds in space. But they might not be in the right place at the right time to move that tiny flag.

  • I second that.

  • Yes it does move that much... Actually without the atmosphere it moves more because there is no air there to slow it down at all. No resistance.

  • The flag's behavior is its reaction to movement with inertia only (and not also to air resistance and gravity).

At first, it looked "funny" to me, too. But after I got over my YouTube/internet "it's fake" jadedness, it's movement looks bizarre and counter-intuitive, but genuine.

  • Yes, this phenomenon is normal. Items in space tend to have exaggerated movements due to the lack of friction with air. The trick it is look at the hands, this gives you a better idea where the flag should be. I recommend the Space Myths episode of mythbusters if you want to see this in action. :D

  • Things can bend and will act in almost the exact same way in a vacuum. If you move something wobbly, it will wobble in a vacuum too.

Vacuum = no friction, things move, wobble, wave, spin, you name it, for a lot longer than they do here on earth. There's no air to slow it down.

  • That looks about as real as the American space walk.

  • i'm so proud to be a chinese

  • sweet!

  • Sweet! Welcome to space China! Home of the ghost of Carl Sagan.

  • It's great to see a nation excited about manned spaceflight!

  • Bravo China.

  • Congratulations China! Awesome achievement.

    Side note:

    Great Olympics.

Please, now consider your human rights policy.

But congratulations on the space walk once again. Good luck with the space station. I hope you bring peace.

  • agreed on all counts.

china , tho not perfect, is far better than say, the soviet union was in their day,

i think china has potential. as long as the west keeps up technologocially so they dont get any7 ideas about taking us over. i think china could be a far better partner for global peace in 2000s then soviet unioin was in 1900s.

  • great china

  • Go go China!!! while China is in its space walk mission, US is in the space of a economical disaster walk hahahahaha

    Ni hao!

  • Not as impressive as Gemini 4; that was an impressive 1st spacewalk.

  • Happy to see China progressing. We should be off this rock in no time :D
