Thank you for all the lovely comments! Cookie is almost five now, and she's still as cute as ever. We've been extremely lucky with her, in terms of her behaviour. She's not the most obedient of dogs at times, but she's never ruined any furniture or anything like that. She was house trained very young too. She's a very loving dog, and is very loyal. She especially loves children, although she's a little unsociable with other dogs, which is a shame. She's a very happy dog :o)

totally unrelated to this video but i have question millions of people use youtube so this seems like the best place to ask... my choc lab is 13 weeks old but about a week ago we started to notice the fur has become wavy/curly on her back it starts at her neck and ends at the tip of her tail is this normal? all answers very appreciated. and one more thing this is probably nothing but her head seems kinda small, in proporiton to the rest of her body.

Hi there!

Cookie is almost five years old now, and her fur started to go wavy on her back around 3-4 years ago. She gets brushed often, but it doesn't make a difference. I've seen a few labs like this, so i guess it's pretty normal.

I know what you mean about the head. Sometimes i think Cookie's looks a little small. I suppose like humans, they're all different shapes and sizes. Some labs have quite big, almost box like shaped heads, and some are more pointy. Nothing to worry about.

@billy6668 Wavy fur is totally normal. Our lab is full grown and his fur gets wavey at certain times of the year. At spring and in the fall when he is shedding his coats the wavey fur seems to be thicker. Our vet said this was totally normal.

@ETSJoshVoxx They are a handful as puppies. They love to chew on EVERYTHING. So you can't have anything on the floor, especially the garbage. I've found them to be pretty good at house training. They tend to be very hyper as pups/young dogs and will jump up on you and may even knock you down. After they are fixed and older than 2, they tend to settle down and become VERY nice family dogs. They are pretty easy to train if you're firm, but getting them to sit still is sometimes a challenge. ;]
