Many people are asking how to make the screaming effect that Jon makes at around 5:00. You want your main volume to be very very high. And the more gain or distortion you give it is going to sound all the better and much more louder. To get the most sound out the scream, you want to scream into the pickup closest to the neck of your guitar. I personally prefer to mute the strings when I'm doing this, but Jon doesn't in this video. I tried it out on my Fender Telecaster and it sounds really nice.

the pickups you would need will cost you more than you payed for the guitar. i would just save up and get a good epiphone (at the least), dont waste money upgrading a crap guitar

these jumpstart packs only cost like $150.00 or somthing it will work on the les paul if you have it but you have to have distorion or gain or it won;t work the ibanez jumpstart guitar package can be bought at a local guitar store make sure they have it in stock.

if you put the distortion high you can try i did it with my ibanez jumpstart pack amp and it worked(i think he put the distortion high too lol)

those "special pickups" are just humbuckers , it should work on any humbuckers, just turn on the bottom humbuckers and scream into that. it helps if you have a loud amp. if not, turn it up!
