Very nice video man. This helped me decide whether or not I was going to buy the CYMA Galil. I wanted to get the King Arms Galil, but it's just too expensive. This Galil is about $150 less than the King Arms, and is still up to par with it. Doesn't shoot as hot, but it's perfect for all types of Airsofting. Once again thanks for the review, it was awesome.

@COOLGuitardude17 if you read up on ur history a bit... the galil was made to replace the ak-47 because of functionality issues with the ak in the desert climate. and it is also modeled after the ak-47 in many ways all they did was make improvements for desert warfare.

@88pie88 actually a lot of military and police personnel are starting to use airsoft as a different form of training because it is more realistic then paintball. century arms makes a galil called a (GOLANI sporter) its made from galil parks. All the parts are isrealy but the receiver and barrel. Its actually a very nice gun. I plan on buying another one soon.

@coltstang123 An airsoft gun and a real gun serve two entirely different purposes. One, the airsoft rifle, is used for skirmising and mil-sim, as well as military training; the other, the real gun, is used to kill and maim.

A real gun would serve no purpose at an airsoft skirmish site, unless you intend to kill the opposing team.

you will have to be UKARA registered or be a professional Re-enactor to be able to purchase a gun like this one, if you are none of the above then by law the gun will have to be partailly (50% minimum) painted a bright colour to make it look ''non-realistic''. However these ''2-tone'' guns have the same power and same ''FPS'' as the realistic (black) guns, you can buy a full metal GALIL like the one shown here but without the stupid BRIGHT orange muzzle cap online for £150 that weighs 4KG :)

@Wabaanimkii well actually there is one version of the galil called galil ace mod 32 witch actually uses ak 47 mags and its chambered to the 7.62x39mm round, and the basic ARM version was both cambered to 5.56 and 7.62x51 nato, any way the 5.56, 35rnds magazne for the galil is heavily influenced by the ak 47 magazine.

Those vortex guns are ridiculous, most of them are capable of over 100 rps.... and it would be quite simple to have a vortex block inside such a large rifle. Downside- you need to carry an air tank and regulator on your person.

In terms of AEGs, Hunter Seeker (I don't know if he's on YouTube at all) runs most of his AEGs around 40rps, his top being 52, his lowest being 36ish ATM

i am currently looking for an airsoft upgrade. i have a MP001BK, it is a bolt action rifle design and has an average speed of around 120m/s dont know what that translates to in Fps. it weighs 2.2 KG and is 108 cm long. There are going to lose about 10-20% velocity, typically an AEG firing 375fps with .20g BB's is going to fire around 335fps with .25gBB's. This is the case with any AEG and not specific to the Galil.

Heavier BB's are more accurate than lighter BB's.
