  • As for mohighbaseball7 im sorry you went through this, jerks like this just make it worse, i hope your well and stay safe and had a speedy recovery. stay safe bro.

  • look, im a firefighter, if this was me, i dont even know what i would do or how i would feel, no less how i would respond to this. my family would be in enough heart ache, they would not need to relive it or see it on youtube. this is dis respect no matter how u look at it. u should have not video'ed a firefighter while he was in this condition. no less try to make money off a fireman that was injured in the line of duty. im surprized youtube even keeps this video up.

  • Posting this video to youtube is unethical. The family has asked you to take this down, and you are not respecting their privacy. If this was you or one of your loved ones, you would want the same. You did not post this video to encourage donations to the burn center, you posted it hoping to make a profit, which is sick. Don't think that people can't recognize your twisted motives.

  • This makes me so sick to my stomach, how dare you film this of our family and him getting wheeled into UC Davis, I don't care if you were filming 50 feet away, you need to take this down for respect for the family, I don't think you would appreciate it if this happened to your family, and no the people do not need to know or the media, TAKE THIS DOWN NOW!

  • This is sick. How about filming some actual news instead of posting images of these poor families? You have no idea what they're going through and how much harm your video causes. Take it down out of respect...these firemen are out saving lives and all you can do is try to make some money off of their injuries? Your sense of journalism is poor and twisted.

  • Posting news is one thing but posting video of injured people being taken out of an ambulance while on a ventilator and video of family members walking across a parking lot isn't news, it's a violation of our rights and now we have unwanted phone calls from everyone we know saying they saw us on YouTube! Now tell everyone how you chased us throught the parking lot to shoot this video. You are an asshole and have no compassion, heart or moral values. Anyone can SAY they put money in a boot!

  • AGain Im going to ask you to remove the video !!! If anything do it for the family!

  • I have been shooting news for over 14 years and think I am one of the most respectful photographers in my business. While other photographers would have ran up to the ambulance and put the camera in his face I shot from about 50 feet away and did not zoom in on his face. Again the video I shoot may not always be pleasant but it must be shot to inform the public of whats happening around them. I hope they all see this video and it makes them think about donating to the UCD Burn Center.

  • It would have be respectful of you not to shoot this at all.

Anything for you to make money on hu!!!

GO film something other than a man that has 40 percent burns on his body. You posted this video before they even released the names to anyone/. I took one look at this video and knew who it was.

DOnt give me this Im a professonal video person. Your a jerk trying to make money off someone thats hurt, because you knew you could sale the video!

  • @sacmediaservice Thats pretty unbelievable. One you were hardly 50 feet away. Two, that part of UCD is actually not open to the general public and had UC police noticed you were there they would of sent you packing. I know this as I was the guy unloading the patient..Here the family is asking you to take the video down and you refuse? I guess ethics dont apply to video journalism anymore..

  • You have no heart! I hope your whole account on youtube gets deleted.

    Jerk

  • I donate a good amount of money to the burn center during the "Fill the Boot for Burns" event held at Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights every year. I also offer any video I shoot to any public safety agency for use in investigations, training and promotions at no charge.

  • HIPPA does not apply to the media shooting video of a injured person from a publicly accessible location. Out of respect I shot this video in a way that would make it almost impossible for the general public to identify the person involved.

  • Just as risking their lives is their job, recording what occurs as a result is my job. It may be unpleasant at times but it's a job and we all must make money. No one is forcing a public servant to do that job and they know this kind of thing can happen and that it can be recorded.

  • With all do respect to the public safety community I do not see a difference showing a injured public servant than showing any other injured person. As a photographer who focuses on public safety news I find it more respectful to show the public the work they do and what can occur as a result of doing it.

  • Shooting news video like this is how I make a living and video I shoot is posted on my youtube channel for two reasons. 1 this is my way of fulfilling my obligation as a journalist to inform the public of what occurs in our community. 2 it's how I show video to clients so they can make a decision on purchasing my video.

  • Hey Jackass! Remove this video. I find it very offensive that you are posting video of me and my family in our time of suffering. What's even worse is that you are trying to profit from it! If you made any money from this, you should donate it to the burn center! Show some respect and remove this video now!!!

  • The ModBee should know better and for being a "community newspaper" may want to consider being a bit more respectful to it's community, especially to public safety members. Oh, and can we say HIPPA violation? I hope this FF/E and/or his family sue "sacmediaservice" for posting this. Complete disrespect and dishonor to this individual.

  • This NOT a Modesto Bee video. Please look at the source. It's plainly not from The Bee.

  • @dddaaayyy: you're right, that's why I said "sacmediaservice" should be sued for posting this, however, the ModBee has a link to this from their site which is how I ended up here.

  • You need to remove this video!!!!

I agree with the others, Hippa and Disrespectful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Cant even believe the modesto bee would post this on there main page. Completely disrespectful to the modesto fire family and to the engineer!!!!

  • This is NOT a Modesto Bee video,.

  • Nice HiPPA violation. Please take this down.

  • I agree!!

  • please remove the video out of respect for the family as that they have not released the names of the injured firefighters.

  • PLease remove this video. THe names of the modesto guys havnt even be released yet. They dont need there faces all over the news!!!

    PLEASE REMOVE THIS VIDEO
