Have been looking for a pattern or template for a pirate ship like yours with no luck! Absolutely love it! Can you tell me where I could find the pattern to the one you used? If it is the little coping saw blade in a handle, that is the tool. That and patience will do it.

We have been doing these for 15 years and are not professionals. Nobody pays us for doing them. We just enjoy doing them as a family. We use patterns for the image, but we are very patient and meticulous with the carving. We enjoy having other people enjoy them.

There are 8 adult carvers in our family and a couple of grndkids that enjoy getting together every Halloween and carve. It is a great family tradition. One of these patterns can take anywhere from 3 to 8 hours and a lot of patience and steady hands. Thanks for your comments.
