I just got the new 9700 just for that reason also. Setting it up with my email for school helps a lot and having programs like Word on the phone and such is great. Its also great for texting and such when your bored in lecture halls lol

I have had dumbphones, 1 WinMo, 1 Palm centro, and an iPhone, so i can honestly say I think the BlackBerry OS and the Bold is the most versatile of any smartphone. It has the work capability of hardcore office and email, and also its fun side with games, social networking, and texting! I can't speak for Android or Symbian, but I also think RIM is making the BlackBerry UI look better and more up to date.

i got my bold a week ago and i LOVE IT. i went from a 16GB iphone 3g to this. and im not going back. best thing i ever bought.
