When I found out that it was a wooden coaster I thought the name didn't fit if only because Terminators are made of metal. With the post-apocalyptic walk-through intro, it makes perfect sense.

I feel sorry for the people that really like this ride. They are going to have to watch 3 preshows over and over again. I think I have it bad with the Dark Knight, and a 4 minute preshow. I rather see part of the Terminator movie than in the line on a big screen (like at Spiderman - in that room) than constantly watch the same thing over and over again.

For Dark Knight ride, you could still have the experience with Joker clips on tv's, or cartoons, without a preshow that's the same.

Longer roller coasters cost more money.

If you are going to make longer rides, your park is probably going to have less roller coasters because of that. Busch Gardens Tampa (at least) has some longer rides, and it doesn't have as many roller coasters as a park like Six Flags Magic Mountain. These rides aren't cheap! I think Terminator was like 10 million, or something like that for what you call a short ride.

A better idea for the plot would be to have the T-800 Terminator invading and attacking guests at the park and you have to stop him. Not to mention that the lines among 2:40 sort of mention a "Valencia, California." Valencia is where Six Flags Magic Mountain is located.

I'd have to say that X2 is definately the best and most intense ride at SFMM. I loved this ride too, but it was just too short. It seemed like it was over in like 20 seconds, and I had just waited like two and a half hours in line to ride it =/
