i checked the excerpts on youtube of his DVD, a few live recordings and a powertab version of the song. It seems Edgar has different arrangements(the arrangement changed over time and become more complicated) and used both to make my own arrangement.
I especially like the way it echoes; you nailed that Animal Crossing feel. Thought I haven't picked up my copy of AC as of late, this song reminds me of my town on a summer night, long after the sun has set.
That's because i remastered the sound after recording. In goldwave i used noise reduction and stereo delay. In cubase it's multiband compressor, q and reverb filter.
Also when recording turn off most lights and electric devices, close the window for sounds from outside, stay away from the pc as far as possible, record in mono and put the mic close to the guitar and recording volume of the mic at about 15%.
