I want to make my own edits of the Star Wars movies, and I feel like the lines in these wipe transitions are too solid. I want my custom wipes to match the blurriness of the wipes in the movies. How could I do that?

Hey! I'm trying to add a video transition in the very same way you do it, but somehow, I can't! I can drag the effect on the video, but for some reason, the transition doesn't appear like it does in your video. It's as if FCE refuses to add one. Could this be because I'm working with 16:9?
