  • charvel is like a sister copany to jackson but what i like about charvel is that i keeps alot of the sound from the decades rock and metal stood tall the 70's 80's and early 90's

  • yea dimarzio!!!

  • These guitars are under £600 now... so tempted.

Check out the Chravel pro mod wild card 6. Japanese made, hardtail. niiice.

  • I thought Charvel Was Jackson ?

  • @Sparks424 It is, but Charvel has moved the sharper heavy metal guitars to the Jackson franchise. Charvel sticks to more vintage lookin kind of guitars now.

  • @Shmucko21 I have a Jackson and love it and i really like the looks of these guitars .

  • hay peeps any so cal owners?? iv been looking at all the same old same old jackson esp ibanez then i came across the so cal theres something about it i like but no dealers in my area to try one how do they compare to the brands i mentioned

  • It's aggravating watching you play.

  • this dude needs fucking lessons.

  • I would like to know more about the amp/effects the guy is using in this video ?

  • Charvel needs to release more guitars

  • I'd better be off with Ibanez SA-120

  • @kazkas000 or an RG :D

  • @kazkas000 ibanez sucks...i hate them...i hate their look, i hate their players (14 year old players and skatedudes)

  • I love Charvel's, my first guitar was a model 4

  • look likes ibanez rg550 models....

  • @PGBUCKETHEAD Ibanez RG models are based off Charvels, not explicitly but close. RGs came out in the late 80s as a rival and alternative to other 'super strat' types.

  • @rumsucka did you ever bother to even look at the ibanez website. the rg model was based on and replaced the road star model.

  • this guy thinks money grows on trees, affordable my ass.

  • @codyjt5150 theyre only a grand..for an American made instrument. Thats pretty f'n cheap considering the labor costs, and especially considering Charvel is like the Bogner of guitars--mostly high end, custom/made to order stuff. Theyre unaffordable to you because you're cheap and dont have a job. Even an 8-10 dollar an hour job will snag you 1000 bucks in a month or two.

  • @rumsucka yea that's true, but the thing is that my parents won't let me have a job for some reason, i mean I'm old enough lol

  • The Charvels made in japan are 20 times better than this crap, theres more color variations, more choices on wood finishes, vintage body and headstock shape, gold/chrome hardware and pickups, and there are plenty of hardtails. the logo is the vintage Charvel, these are terrible looking and they sound bland..

  • carvins are affordable, I dont know about this

  • @Mr0ro Dude a Carvin guitar is what 12-1500 or more. A SoCal is 1100 tops.

  • Damn! This guy can play! Nice 2 see, I've seen so many guitar demos played by crap "guitarists". These guitars are stunning!

  • Do Blackouts fit in to this guitar??

  • @XxMeTaL96xX i would guess because they have seymour duncans so blackouts should fit as well

  • Some Charvels run for 5 thousand too, some gibsons go for 1000, some fender strats go for 800... this is moderatley affordable for your average player...

  • does these guitars work for deathmetal riffing?

  • Question... If you could own a PRS SE with the Floyd Rose (new this year) or the Charvel, which would you choose?

  • Nice axe, especially for the price. Would make a nice addition to the PRS I have, although this is more of a hard rock piece.

  • um is it just me or do they look exactly like fenders?

  • @CiscoMcLovin theyre owned by fender

  • made by fender man.

  • Yeah because over a thousand dollars is AFFORDABLE. T_T

  • @ooberpwnage Compare these to Gibsons or Fenders and you'll see what he meant.

  • @ooberpwnage if you compare it to a fender it shows that is is affordable, especially as it is a customised fender. ok £899 is pretty steep but if you compare that to a similar spec PRS or Gibson or even fender it is much cheeper.

  • @ooberpwnage in a theivs eyes it is lol

  • great demo! truly an American metal icon.

  • I had a metallic off cream white one with factory scalloped neck and active DiMarzio's back in 92' it was badass I wish I still had it.

  • sounds like my little brother's toy guitar

  • bulldog, you're kidding, right?

  • charvel needs string thru bodys

  • Looks and sounds like it can do all the stuff that made it popular in the first place: 80's hair metal.

  • Paul rips it up. What terrible colors. Where are the white or black or blue?

  • i LOVE plyaing these guitars for van halen

if you play eruption on this it sounds AWESOME

  • Yeah thats because the Tone Zone was basically a replica of the Brown Sound.

  • affordable my ass. but they are amazing guitars.

  • lol i was like when he said affordable

    "affordable my ass"

  • @mrboverbro esp std are about 1500$ usa jacksons are 2 grands, bernie ricos are around 3 grands, so yeah Charvel are so fuckin affordable and built in the usa.

  • 1099.99$ American. tarded affordable. only drawback no hardshell case. but thats just my opinion

  • At one point about 86/87, I had a collection af about 15 San Dimas Charvels. One, I WAS TOLD, from a colector in West Florida would be worth about, $5000.00 now.

  • cleans sound like shit, c'mon paul.
