I think this is my favorite myself. When you watch and see all the little things going on, it is quite revealing. BTW, I go a kick out of that video where you had bad day and everything went wrong...I was howling! I have had those days!!!
Back when we played paddle tag the floor guards held the paddles when the music started the dj would say drop the paddles. There were two paddles. So basically it was a game of chase and two people were chasing and tagging people out. Once tagged you were out of the game.
At random the dj would say drop the paddle and you had to drop the paddles and now you were being chased down. Ohh yea I forgot to mention that 4 cones were lined up down the middle of the floor. Everyone had to go around the 2 end cones. If you had the paddle you had the option of going between the two center cones to get after people on the other side of the floor.
If you stop forward motion or go backwards or get tagged you are out or if you decide to tag someone to hard (slap the hell out of them). The paddle were usually made out of rolled up newspaper that had been taped up. The paddles were about 12 inches long. Man I miss those days. You all should give it a try. I worked at the Skate Center in Smyrna, TN when I was younger. Best rink I have ever been to.
One more thing. When you get down to a low amount of people, like 10, you remove one paddle and keep going till only one person is left and that is the winner.
Yeah, I like it. I have carreras myself, although not sure what ceramics are. Is that the wheel? I have Shamans...but they are wearing out...have to get new ones.
