This is more fun than a mountain bike because...? It costs more, has more to go wrong with it, uses energy, will probably be illegal to ride on trails, has a shorter range... or what? I guess gadgets are intrinsically fun, but this seems like just another version of the emperor's new clothes to me.
Not a lot of skill involved in the wheelie! check out my videos iQuad - electric quad that goes twice as fast as the segway! (segway is still very cool tho!)
I saw a similar video on this website. It's amazing what it can do off road. I e-mailed Segway and was shocked that their publicist said the Centaur will never be produced. I guess they make so much money that they don't see any need to innovate their product further than its current state. Sad. Maybe they should at least let someone else make the body while they supply the motor and gyroscopic stabilizing equipment. So, it's just a concept and will likely be tossed into the dust bin.
