  • i hate how the ufc and american mma orginistions prenounce aldos first name

  • d3v0n2534 brazillians do speak portugese but spanish (language) and mexican(language) are different also

  • @SenorCockblock i didn't know mexican was a language!

  • Jose Aldo has more chances of losing at 155. That's why he's busting an Anderson Silva and saying he's "happy with his belt" because he knows there's no1 at 145 that can stop him. Every 145er is pillow-fisted with their dependence mainly on jiu-jitsu which doesn't work if you don't get it to the ground. Now at 155, there's more of a risk of him getting outwrestled, outboxed or dropped on his ass. That's why he ain't moving nowhere.

  • @MrSomename89 what?No way man. ur waaay wrong!!! How fuckin arrogant

  • @ThatKidMTL23 Brazilian? oh thats what they speak? things must have changed. because last time i checked Brazilians spoke Portuguese. and let me guess, mexicans speak mexican now too? not spanish huh?

  • Yea it's Jo-zay, just like Washington Capitals goalie, Jose Theodore. Ho-say is spanish pronounciation. Jo-zay is Portuguese and French way to pronounce.

  • Ariel Helwani asks basically every question i want asked. You can tell he's a true mma fan.

  • You ask the BEST Questions!

  • whats with the cheek mustache

  • @imanuel2012 A scar

  • He needs to fight BJ Penn. He's deserving of that type of fight...

  • @OregonCM He deserves to destroy frankie edgar and take the belt. then maybe a BJ vs Aldo. But BJ's gotta bring it 100%, he hasnt looked right his past 2 fights.

  • aldo is high as fuck!

  • I will pronounce it how it's pronounced in spanish. Either way it's proper. Lick my balls

  • Ariel Helwani is the best mma interviewer

  • such a nice kid, i like him.

  • Show me your TITTAYS

  • This guy has mad skilll! hes going to beat anyone in 154! does anyone know what happend to his cheek?

  • @beto4rmtheghetto I think he cut a pound off his face so he could fight in the 154lb weight class that doesn't exist.

  • so if his name was rose then it would sound like ho-zay then huh

  • Keep up the great work.

  • Ariel you are great at interviewing fighters but you need to pronounce names correctly wither they are foreign names or not. Escuderos first name is not pronounced (Ef-rien). Its pronounced (Ef-ren). Aldos fight name is not prononuced (Joe-say) its pronounced (Ho-se). I'm not bashing you, just trying to help. As always great interview man. Thanks

  • @carven2004eca Actually Ariel's correct. You pronounce the "J" in portuguese. If you're going to help, please do your research first. How can you doubt one of the only people that can pronounce Fedor's name properly

  • @jonthepawn Yeah I just read that. My mistake. I keep thinking its Spanish but it is Portuguese. Althought he did mispronounce Escuderos first name.

  • @carven2004eca I found two videos of him interviewing Escudero, and it sounds good to me. (Ef-ren) is pronouncing it like it was an english name. In spanish the letter "i" is prounounced like an english hard "E". So it'll be something like Ef-rEEn. I'm pretty sure Ariel asks the fighters how they pronounce their name before interviewing them.

  • @carven2004eca Go fail somewhere else carven.

  • @arana001 I know some pussy ass bitch would try to talk shit to me over the net. Your such a litter turd.

  • Ariel you almost always pronounce names correctly despite people like Bruce Buffer butchering them. Good work.

  • The way Aldo kicks and knees is exactly how one kicks a size 5 football.

  • Keep up the great work Ariel.

  • the most agressive fighter in the world!!!

  • Ariel Helwani always has the best interviews

  • man u got sick videos

  • Jose Aldo vs BJ Penn would definitly be a great fight

They both have the same reach but BJ is 2 inches taller

  • @ThePintoAce I dont think he is ready for Penn yet, but I see him in a year or so..I hope it happens but not to late in Penn career..

  • @paddiosf

    aha yea

i see aldo def as one of the top 5 p4p fightrs

he dominates this division just like silva and gsp dominate theirs

  • This guy is a beast. I'd like to see him have a couple of fights at 155 in the WEC b4 he moves to the UFC.

  • aldo isnt gonna lose the belt any time soon, dudes a straight up MONSTER!!!

  • did the joker get a hold of him and give him that scar along the side of his face. It looks like the jokers scare in the dark knight

  • @iMixMasTer lol it kinda does. but he actually got it when he was a little kid. his older sisters threw him into a barberque when his mom wasnt looking

  • Why don't they merge the WEC in the UFC? It's all the same, except the fighters, so why not just make 1 big pool of fighters and make it the biggest contact sport fighter poul ever?

  • @SinisterSkip COOL STORY BRO!!!

  • @SinisterSkip I heard something about them merging the LW division but leaving the other two divisions in WEC..

  • @MixedTracialArtist i think u mean canadian jew lol

  • aldo rules.

  • Man Ed Soares has a stable of bad asses

  • Jesus christ if ur in an american foundation learn how to speak it For fucks sake

  • they should just stop messin' around and bring 145lbs to the ufc, they're so exciting.

  • Thanks Ariel for correct that guy. Yea I agree with the people say your a great interviewer but Karyn Bryant is the best IMO. She has great chemistry going with everybody she interviews & they loosen up when alot too. She has fun & likes to joke but will get down to the hard hitting questions. What are your thoughts on Karyne Bryant Ariel?

  • @muchohumptyhump Gtfo.

  • @muchohumptyhump watch his interview with anderson silva

  • Jose Aldo is the world champion @ 145. Why would he even consider changing weight classes?

  • @TGUNZ562 If he defends his title against a couple of the best in his weight class, why not go up? Its pretty logical to challenge yourself.

  • @MasterMecha I mean, I understand that, too. I personally would just rather gear my legacy towards being the most dominate guy in a paticular division. I mean, look at how many losses Penn could have spared himself if he would have just kept his ass @ 155 where he belongs.

  • @TGUNZ562 I totally agree, its just with that much hype people speculate too far down the road, you know?

  • They call him "Ho-Zay" on the broadcast because it's more common. Sorta like how US broadcasters pronounce Fedor.

  • @ArielHelwani Yeah, like Mauricio "Hua"

  • @ArielHelwani u need to tell dana white next time u see him we need overeem werdum and fedor in the ufc ASAP

  • @WinkyMaeve Like Dana hasnt tried. I believe they all turned him down.

  • @ArielHelwani ariel speaks!

  • @ArielHelwani gina carano has a crush on you go after her Arie!!! :)

  • @ArielHelwani

That annoys me, how hard is it to say Fyodor... really.

Great interviews by the way, infinitely better than that semi-retarded doofus Eli Scheckback or whatever.

  • Yes, I asked Aldo himself how to correctly pronounce his name. It's Joe-Zay, not Ho-Zay. In Portuguese, your pronounce the "J".

  • @ArielHelwani Really, Mr. Helwani? I would have never guessed that. I saw the countdown to WEC 48 and heard Joe Rogan pronounce it, but I didn't think it was the correct way to pronouce it.

    Much appreciated, sir. Great interview

  • @ArielHelwani intresting. I heard Rogan pronounce that way as well and wondered what the correct way was

  • @ArielHelwani Hey man your the best MMA reporter out there, everyone else doesn't know anything about MMA, and its annoying

  • Comment removed

  • @ArielHelwani wow really? Sounds like Josie and the Pussycats lol.

  • @ArielHelwani Do you know how Luiz Cane pronounces his surname? I hear a lot of people saying ka-nay and others saying Cane like the stick people use to walk with a gimpy leg.

  • @ArielHelwani It's more like Jew-zeh to be honest. Portuguese is a bit more closed on the vowels.

  • @Runesocesius he just said he asked him and he sait joe-zay dude.

  • @YoungAssassin69 Or he misheard. Or he just went along because he didn't feel it was a big deal. There is no way, José is pronounced with the Zay sound at the end.

  • @ArielHelwani In spanish you pronounce it "Ho-seh". Like my cousin and that's how we pronounce it in Miami

  • still weirded out by scar, when he was a baby his mother wasnt paying attention and sisters rolled him into a barbecue pit for the 1986 world cup. What kind of sisters do that WTF

  • Comment removed

  • isn't Ariel from Montreal? They call people named Jose 'Joe-zay'.

  • @seancarletonzero Hey, you fucking idiot, don't say shit about Ariel, first of all. Second of all, Ariel being from Montreal has nothing to do with it, Aldo being from Brazil does. Jose Aldo pronounces his name JOE-ZAY. You might want to make an attempt to check facts before making a jackass of yourself.

  • @TGUNZ562 I didn't say anything bad about Ariel, I thought he was from Montreal. French Canadians named Jose usually pronounces their name (Jo-Zay) I just figured that was why Ariel pronounced it that way, but it was mainly because Joe Rogan pronounced it (Jo-Zay) awhile ago that I had to question it, seriously getting facts from Joe is only slightly more credible than getting it from fox news.

  • @seancarletonzero Fox News is the most creditable and accurate media outlet in North America. Joe Rogan is one of the most creditable and accurate voices in MMA. What the fuck are you talking about?

  • @TGUNZ562 get of ariel's nuts

  • dana get areil herwani a job!!! he is a great interviewer

  • @HomeOfBritishBoxing

no please don't:) neutrality (i.e. as neutral as possible) is important dude:)

  • Great interview, Ariel is the best

  • are you kidding me ariel? his name sounds like 'hoe-zay' dude.

  • @Steadno Actually Jose Aldo pronounces it JOE ZAY not HOE ZAY. so your wrong. Ariel is around fighters all the time & I think he has enought courtesy to ask people how they pronounce their name before a interview

  • @muchohumptyhump show me in a video

  • @Steadno Find it yourself, watch WEC , google it or something

  • @muchohumptyhump as i thought. NEXT!

  • @Steadno If you actually followed Aldo , you'd know he pronounces it JOE ZAY its not my job to look up info for you. You were trying to bag on Ariel & you didnt even know.

  • @muchohumptyhump youre all talk. show me or fade away.

  • @Steadno Ariel replied & confirmed it , theres your proof.

  • @Steadno I think the Portuguese and Brazilians pronounce the J.

  • @Steadno I think he obviously learnt how to pronounce his name before the interview out of courtesy.
