  • maybe the black knight in would've stood a chance against king arthur if he was carrying this

  • @malevolenceXXXensues ... The Book shall be rewritten henceforth to state, the Black Knight, armed with a formidable Hazama Yakiba PYTHON Katana, PREVAILS against King Arthur and strikes him down with one mighty deep cut of the King's flesh. :::So it was said [by malevolence], so it shall be written:::

  • @Hazamayakiba yea this sword is a lot more cooler than excalibur

  • @Bloody0Sword0SMI ...The word "buyu" has multiple meanings based on its use within a given context.

For example, in my signoffs, buyu identifies me (and you) as martial arts family members so to speak. practicing ninpotaijutsu...and even kendo etc etc.

However, in its most formal or classical application, "buyu" means "Bravery".

  • @Bloody0Sword0SMI ... Thank you for your kind comment Mr. Blood ! Buyu, Haz

  • but does it blend?

  • @pimnas ...Yes...but it better excels at preparing Sushi for a large crowd !

  • oh yea and another thing to me it seems like when ever you make a sword the little detailed thing that is usally wraped in between the hilt of the sword is mostly nailed on the top right and bottem of the left side but yours is nailed from the top left and the bottem right side or am i just seeing mirrored today?

  • is it me or does that uhh small really detailed part look like a calm motion of wave movement?

  • @herroYerroFerrow WOW ! You've got a really sharp eye. I shot this vid near water, however, the sword's hamon temperline is as you've noted !!! Coincidence? Haz

  • what number of grit would you use for a mirror finish?1500 is the finnest i have and it works good but not a mirror finish.

  • @trialsrider001 ... If I told you I'd have to kill you !

Aside from using fingerstones, you can get your blade looking pretty darn great with 3000 grit and some top quality jeweler's polish, plus add to that mix a whole lot of time carefully polishing your blade along linear lines under sustainable and equal finger pressure.

  • it looks like you have a big collection of really nice blades.i have seen a few of them and i will watch more

  • awesome hamon

  • @trialsrider001 ... Thank you for noticing "TR" ! Buyu, Haz

  • if you angle it just right, you could see yourself doin that, almost thought you woulda. sounds like a kinda sword you could live with in the wild if needed. i must find out how much these are. a must buy item. Do you have a black version with the blood groove, or maybe Damascus?

  • Hey Haz I like your work :)

I have a few questions though,in your videos i didn't hear if the tsuka was full tang or not.And second I wanted to know If you could make a cutting demonstration with one of your blades :)

  • Wornarippi... Yes...the blades are Full Tang & Double Pegged. I will personally send you a cutting demo later today.

    Thanks for commenting.

    Hazzzzzz

  • Thanks for the demos Haz :D

After Im done moving I'll buy one of your works ;)

Oh and another question,do you make custom orders?

  • Wornarippi... it depends on what your idea of a ** Custom Order ** is ! But in any event, Yes...if it isn't outlandish or based on anime characters...that I don't do. ~Peace ... Haz

  • G-Man... it is really up to you...with consideration given to your arm length... which factors in when you go to draw a blade from its saya scabbard. It should be a comforatble draw without physical ackwardness....as blades for an 11 inch long tsuka handle can be in lengths ranging from 20 to 30 inches (generally).

Short arms = 20 to 27 inch blade

Long arms = 28 to 30 inch blade

(add one inch to blade length for brass habaki collar --- eg. 28 inch blade requires a 29 inch draw)

  • Hey Haz,

Wasn't anything between 19-23 inches considered a waki?

  • Sky..it depends on your research source's opinion.

  • well i mean by the legal classification used by the shogun. Wasn't there an edict about it? I may be wrong.

  • Sky...I've never known you to say anything about weapons that wasn't absolutely correct and/or spot on !

You are my favorite Sword Guru !!!

  • Maybe not a Guru, But i like to believe i usually hit close to the bulls eye.

The legal length for a waki was under 2 shaku. so under 2 feet. so anything under 24 inches should be classed a waki then? i dunno. I'm just getting too technical now. A swords a sword. Yours are great calibur. What really matters besides that?

  • Sky...To answer your question regarding ** What really matters besides that? **...the answer is the skill of the Warrior who holds the sword !

    Agree? lol

  • Good answer!

  • I want something very similar to this when I finally purchase a Katana sometime next year. If I wanted the handle (i'll call it that) to be about 11 inches, what would the appropriate blade length be?

  • not having money absolutely sucks.

  • FGWKatana...No Truer Words Were Ever Spoken !

  • Mirror polish... now THAT, is quality. I wish I could purchase but alas, I am in school now and i dont have any time to work.... sigh*... Please keep making swords for a very long time Haz, because once I am in med school, i will definetely purchase several of your quality blades, Thank you.

  • SPY...you'll need scalpels once you graduate Med School ! But a monster Katana on the wall of your Doctor's Office would sure make your Patients listen more closely to your medical advice.. now wouldn't it? 8-)

  • beautiful sword

  • BLOOD...thanks for commenting. I hope all is well for you in your part of the Country. Love your BloodToAshes channel ! Haz

  • Wow. Incredible.

  • Hey Hey Bamboo ! Ain't it a pain in the neck that every sword wants to cut cha in half ? LOL... Haz

  • lol

  • lol Back-At-Ya SpyGuy !

  • just awesome

  • Hey PUNISH....I just watched a hot movie named after you ! ***The PUNISHER*** Ever see it ? 8-)
