Ta! I did this one ages ago. I've got a few more pieces I've been working on which I should be putting up over the next month. Hopefully I'll have gotten on top of the bad hand position.
Omg!!! What a shock you are to me. When I think Harpist I think scrawny nerds in sweaters...your the hotness! You big sexy harp player! Mwah! I love you!
part 2...To my way of thinking I like to have the thumbs in a more upright position with plenty of space between the thumb and the second finger, without being uncomfortable. I tend to think of creating a hitch-hikers thumb with the finger closed and then open them out onto the strings. Anyway, I hope this helps or otherwise ignore my diatribe.
Hi there, Sounding good. I just read the previous comment and your description, so have had a really close look at your finger work. I think your more or less on track, the 'C' notes ascending sound fine, but the descending ones don't sound so great because your thumb is blocking the freedom of movement for your second finger as you return back down the scale having just released the C.
Hi there, and thanks for your kind comment. I've been learning for about 4 months now. My tutor is Glenda Clwyd, an incredible Welsh harpist and an inspiring teacher. Type her name in youtube search to see some of her work. I particularly recommend The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba.
Really excellent! I can tell you practice a lot! The C is dying because you're replacing a tiny bit too soon. If you place later, it will ring longer. We're talking microseconds, here. It sounds really good, though! I didn't notice until I read the description.
Ha! I had to listen to this one I have been practicing this one too! Great job!

I'm just learning the harp and admire your accuracy.
Have you been playing long? Do you have a teacher?
If not what are you using to learn?
Thanks
