Awesome, I have 300 gigs of video I need to convert and my exports from FCE are just as big, I'll give this a try and hopefully get my files down to a reasonable size. It's about 30 hours of home videos I'm converting to DVD, all captured in AIC. I'm just glad I didn't use ProRes!
Nice info, thanks. Although I'd say that for 720p action video with good resolution, a Data Rate of 8000kbps is about optimal to future proof your video's quality on the net. Otherwise, good tips.
TYSM I used to export a quicktime movie, then bring it into iMovie and export from there. But it's been saying "General Error" whenever I try to export a quicktime movie lately, so I'm forced to use quicktime conversion. Wish me luck! :D
Hi, I really have to ask you something because I'm at a loss about what to do. I've made a project with 1280x720 clips, in HD, but when I go to export it, FCE4 thinks the "current" size is that of the size of the viewer - if the viewer is shrunk or grows from me adjusting it, the current size of the video changes.
How am I able to export in 1280x720 size if this is the case? What do I have to change? D:
hey im having a problem my editing toolbar on the side of my time line.(razor, roll ,select etc etc ) has dissaperd idk wtf happend ...can any1 help??
@youknowthat212 im actually thinking of doing it via torrent but only to test it out. usually getting stuff like that from torrents dont always work properly.
@jhugo1986 Yeah dl'ing programs can get a little tricky but with a few google searches you can usually figure it out, just takes time... I'd rather save my money for hardware i cant find online for free.
Thanks so much bro. You helped me a lot. God bless!

@Cleuq adjust the viewer so it fits perfectly around your video, then re-render. It worked for me.
