korea still has a long way to go. lets not forget that 2002 was a fluke. i mean seriously if you watch the portugal/italy/spain games, the refs definitely favored the home team. and we barely made it this time. 1w 1d 1l ? most of the time its a bust. 70% of koreas goals in their history in the world cup came from set pieces. they cant score worth shit, horrible finishers and unbelieveably stupid defense.

why do guys take pride on a squad that is now along the lines of mediocre? round of 16=average, if you cant make it then that means you suck. getting there means your at least qualified to chill w/ th best. now, quarterfinals would mean contending w/ the best, something SK had all the potential to be. all that total football and cant finish. you guys should be pissed, with all the talent they had and technical ability.. imo the biggest bust of 2010 world cup

@jhc8823 well, just because we're proud of the team doesn't mean that we thought they played their best. I mean I personally wanted us to go to the semifinals, but at the same time, we had a very drowsy goalkeeper, and at the same time we had strikers who couldn't score so of course I WAS VERY PISSED ABOUT THAT!! And on top of that our defense was very shaky, but at the end of the day, you don't know what 's going to happen. And that second goal by Suarez was LUCK.

We don't even know what these players are going through in their state of mind when they're playing the game. It's called being human. And don't you EVER EVER THINK that the round of 16 was the end of our line. OF course we're deeply saddened that our country couldn't make it to the quarterfinals, but at the same time I'm proud of my country for making it to the first top 16 in foreign soil.

Our nation was in crisis and it was very emotional time span for us. You have no right to call yourself Korean even if you are one which I do not think you are. Oh by the way, we play soccer way beyond school level. People from town get together and form amatuer leagues and such. I guess I should not expect much from a guy who uses word "Teddy Bear".

after the loss against Uruguay, the Uruguay's head coach said that the we gave them a hard time. I mean ok, the first goal we took was a complete mistake because we were sleeping, but we got the next goal. and the next goal by Suarez was a complete LUCK. It hit the goal post and when in. And as far as the referring goes, that dude missed some spots where we could've gotten the penalty kicks, but at the same time we got a way with a handball and a GOAL.

Yeah, we lost so what? People with nothing to do can come and rant on us all they want. But we did something other teams from Asia can only dream of; make it to the Knock Out round. Like aizakku97 said, we had NO PROBLEM keeping up with Uruguay players, played great, and showed the potential. I will always support my country until I die no matter how bad we might perform. Thank you Tae-Guk Warriors for brining our nation together in our saddest times. 대한민국!! Enough said.

Asian teams are getting stronger. North Kore was wonderful, unfortunately they are in Death Group with Argentina, Ivory Coast, and Portugal. If they were in group B, where South Korea is now, they could qualify easily in next round. But it's game, that's why World Cup is wonderful and unique.

I'm Korean first of all, so my comment obviously cannot be considered racist against my own country LOL! S.Korea got humiliated by Argentina today and it was clear to see that they are simply NOT a "world-class" team. I'm not a big soccer fan to begin with, but I can see superiority/inferiority when I see it. They are simply not good enough. Even if they make it to the next round...it will be the same result.
