ok, another question. Are you able to use GIMP on the V7?
GIMP is a free paint software that is released on pretty much all platforms, including Ubuntu and Debian, it look a bit like Photoshop.

i have a few questions for you:
1- can you install any Ubuntu-compatible applications in Linux?
2- can you download torrents with this device?
3- Do your device come in problem-free? (meaning no dead pixel on screen)
4- can you actually DRAW things in a drawing software?

1) it needs to be armel compatible ubuntu. After installing, cross your fingers that it works. does not do OpenGL at the moment.
2) I have two torrent clients. One comes with it. I never had a reason to try it yet.
3) I had no physical problems with my unit.
4) Yeah, I used a simple pain program. Was about as fun as my PDA in the day. :)

I use babelfish. I tried to find a hand-recognition app for ubuntu linux and could not find anything. If you find an app, let me know and I will test it.

Thanks, I just wanted to test this on youtube.
I got most of my apps from the Chinese forums. They have a repository for working apps.
