5/24/08 Multi-Vortex Tornadoes Near Hennessee, Oklahoma

I should have gotten video on two of these tornadoes myself. I got the two in Orlando OK, but those other 2 which happened earlier in the day, I saw the multiple vortex tornado, but it dissipated as I was getting my camcorder fixed on it. Then the other tornado near Hennessee got rainwrapped(hailwrapped) so I didn't have any view to video that tornado either. That was a good size one to. Some people saw the rain, they thought it was a mile wide wedge tornado. Tornado was not a mile wide.

great vid. I still dont know why there isnt more video of these tornadoes. There was a million people on them and the storm was ultra slow moving. I saw it develope from Dodge city and drove there in time to see about 6 tornadoes myself. Awesome storm alog an outflow boundary from storms the previous day In kansas which also had tornadoes....but really fast moving ones... GREAT CATCH U guys,,,,stay safe

Yeah, we were on the storms the day before as well. We saw some pretty amazing super cells and a few tornadoes, but they were more difficult to follow and we didn't get nearly as close.

its when multiple funnels rotate around the main funnel cloud, it can often be more devastating then a non multi vortex tornado

Hey, I never noticed this comment until now. I film with a teenie little diggie camera, so these clips are actually in their entirety. I have lots of other clips I didn't put up, though, so I could try put those babies up.

They haven't yet. I really want to see it too - they had much higher quality cameras than I did and they got much much closer.

I watched this on the news. There's been like a million tornadoes recently. There's one just an hour away from me right now.

AWESOME Max!!! The clip came out fantantic and the best part is I saw a completely new tornado that I didn't even notice when we were there. I was so focused on the large cone, I didn't even notice the nebulous multi-vortex circulation to the left (at about 1:48 in this clip)

Yeah we really scored. People tell me I will never ever see it that good again. And I didn't even film the best part when it was really close to us! I filmed with Mikes camera because his camera is much nicer.

Wow Amazing video Max!!! I was watching the Hennessee, OK tornadoes live on TV, and on News 9 Internet stream. Man do I wish I was with you guys.
