  • As a American. I will never forget the sacrifice of Australian soldiers on the battlefield. Too often your courage is forgotten. I would like to say thank you for protecting this earth from tyranny

  • I visited Poziers for the second time, good to see people posting this sort of thing. Always remember what they did.

  • petty more fucking australians didnt die =[

  • @GameRemix

Charming comment mate, you sad bastard

  • Pleae Dont take this with disrespect, i to am an Aussie instead of accepting who lost or won that war we should think of it as a war where we pushed the boundaries & because of these great men we now have a strong relationship with Turkey. Gallipoli was a pointless war a battle of the officers no blood should have ever been spilt on ANZAC cove. . Lest we forget, good job boys!

  • to right mate

  • @AlienFirefox,

Thanks for the kind repsonse, it's good to see there is still abit of good in this world.

  • no one wins a war.

is only one thing worse than fighting with allies and that is fighting without them. - Winston Churchill

  • i never said they were, there on each end of the world so u better learn how to read let alone tell me get my facts right

  • God bless Australia!!!

  • Can someone tell me the name of the song, they played this song a lot during Kapooka about 5 years ago and I've been trying to find it since.

  • sgt Mackenzie.

  • Australia was a bunch of separate British colonies until 1901 when Australia became one country and it was still controlled by the British parliament until a later date but till this day every Australian citizen is HM's subject and The English monarch is head of state also Australia is still a commonwealth country so technicly Australia is still ruled by HM hence we are still under English rule some way or another and lets keep it that way

  • I'm a Brit living in Canada, it's rememberance day soon in the UK. I will remember all those men of the Commonwealth that came to the UK in it's hour of need.

RIP all of you brave diggers, and may we never forget.

  • When I am listening to this song, I feel it's so atmospheric and reflect on my true identity, Australian and the only country I serve for, Australia. As Australia is part of Britain, it has succeeded all British traditions.

  • where a federation where not apart of britain mate

  • how so???? i'd like you to find one credible history text book which confirms your assertion. last i checked you fought with the axis powers, the axis powers being defeated by the allies. perhaps you should go back to school.

  • what text did you consult - "the total ignoramus guide to lies and misinformation"? Australians fought on the allied side in both world wars and in all theatres. They also fought for the UN in Korea, with the USA in Vietnam and are currently fighting in America's middle-eastern wars (alongside theUSA). You are SO pig ignorant that you can only be an american. If you keep dissing allies in this way you pretty soon won't have any left. You poor, sad, stupid dickhead.

  • dont forget the boer war

  • nobody wins a war, the soldiers only persevere , and try to stay alive.....kill the other poor bastard...before he can kill you....

  • You're a fucking tool!

Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives... you are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours... You the mothers who sent their sons from far away countries wipe away your tears. Your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. Having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well.

  • do you know who said this 23111453? It was Kamal Ataturk who commanded the turkish defence of gallipoli where so many men lost their lives. He understood the tragedy of it. it's a shame that you can't.

  • :( u come

  • was simi part of brit in 1901

  • Respect

  • This song appeals to all warriors and all service workers, i am half Scot and a piper, but that has nothing to do with it, theres a sense of honor in the song and a sense of poetry that this artist has that most american artists do not, bagpipes be one of my favorite things to listen to and do, ministral boy and scottish soldier are very good choices also.

  • minstrel boy is a very good song.i like joe strummers version, but thats just me

  • A great song, a very respectful sounding kind of song. Unlike Ballad of the Green Berets, that song sounds like a cartoon theme song.

  • Do this song have the name : Sgt. MacKenzie ?

  • Extremely Moving Images and song... Lest We Forget..

    Ty for this video

  • It's a great song.

  • Whenever I hear Sgt. Mackenzie, I feel an overwhelming sense of sadness. And a strong feeling of appreciation to the fighting and the fallen of battle. Very good video.

  • you scottish?

  • Nope, American.

  • aww man i love it coz i can understand it easy and i love bag pipes

  • It would be nice to see a tribute video to our fallen commrades in Iraq and Aphganistan with this song...And if an Irish Clan would do a remake of this song taking out "German" and incerting "Incergent", it would be the greatest to play at any funeral including mine if I die when I go to support the unfortunate Iraqi people who need us so much. Please support us! Thank you. SSG Gunderman

  • Godspeed SSG Gunderman!

  • Thank you, We support you. Go get 'em.

  • @willem6011

its a song about a scottish soldier.

the words are technically english, but spoken in scot's dialect.

even as a local Auld Scots can be a bit tricky so dont worry.

    just google Sgt. Mackenzie

  • It touch my bones. ( the Music)
