it didnt crash because the pilot was bad it crashed because it hit the ground 2 fast for a landing and bounced back up and totaly unbalanceing the plane the pilot did his best to keep the chopper in the air as long as possible

Watch where all of the debris and crap goes when the rotors contact the ground. It goes everywhere BUT towards the aircraft. Been in this sort of crash and survived with minor injuries. Needed an awful LOT of alcohol and at least 48 hours to recover afterwords!

tail rotor didn't hit. look at the orientation in the openening seconds then look at the orientation at 0:13. looks to me like he had a stinger strike at most, but the hard landing bent/broke a pitch link since the blade's still spinning. probably mashed the anti-tourque then thought 'oh shit' when nothing happened, then looks like he gunned the collective which is when he really lost control. Pilot error all the way.

Looks like the pilot came in with the tail too low and clipped it on the ground. That probebly broke the gearbox, blades, or pitch mechanism causing the heli to enter a spin. I certainly hope the pilot went back to flight school after that one.

I don't think the soldier outside died. He got caught up in the wheel and probably broke a couple of ribs or an arm or something, but just before the helicopter hits the ground, you can see him bent over as he runs. I think he may have cleared the crash, but I'm not sure.
