the only thing pit needs to work on is jumping edge guarding. he might as well jump off and keep attacking marth. after all he has 3 air jumps, can glide and his up B will recover him from almost anywhere...
It doesn't matter that Marth beating Pit is cheap. Marth may have a bit more punch than Pit and even if he's a tad slower, he's got enough speed to go toe-to-toe with Pit. Pit would probably have a better advantage against slower characters like Ike. That being said, each character has a weakness. That is why Pit lost. Also, to settle the C stick issue, a good tapper can unleash tap-A smash attacks as fast as a C stick user.
More like Pit was completely predictable, not the fact Pit's weakness was a huge factor on why he lost. Getting hit with a U-smash by Marth is proof of that.
Man... I wish the more professional matches used smash balls. Then we'd all have that epic "pwnage" moment to look forward to in each brawl. It would also change up the gameplay a bit.

If Pit had taken advantage of his gliding and aerial abilities a little more, he might have won. It was a close match though, a decent fight.

Pits awesome! He's avery strong and balenced character IMO.
Pro's:
He's Fast
He wracks up damage Quickly
He has great recovery and Combo
Con's:
Few good Knock-Back moves
VERY light.
