I have SMC and I have the option to "Single Port" or "Port Range" lets say I do "Single Port" (as i have been told to do) I can only type a "Start Port" number the "End Port" number is grayed out and i can not type anything. If i go back and try "Port Range" This time i can type Start25565 and End25565 Ports but when i Click apply I get message saying "Start and End port could not be the same for port range Setting" WTH is this? why?

I have a different screen when I click on Supported applications, it doesn't have the trigger protocol, and when I try to click add without a "translate to" it says translate startport is not valid....

In your Properties file, change "Online mode" to false, and your players will be able to join with cracked versions of Minecraft. Online mode is where your server connects to Minecraft temporarily to check if your players are validated - to stop game hackers, spammers, trolls etc..

You can try looking at this video's response if you like, it's my other tutorial, same purpose. You may have missed something, if it still fails to work, 1. You may have a firewall problem, try disabling it and then try, if it works, go into your firewall settings and allow minecraft and port 25565 to be freeee!

Your internal IP address will start with 192.168 (usually) so look for that. Do not use the subnet mask..

If it still fails to work, your ports are still not open, or it's your firewall.

Hi, really helpful video, servers running fine on family computer and I managed to import my SSP world (although for some reason I spawn outside the city wall). Only problem is that I can connect using the local IP address but not through the external address so my friend wont be able to play from his house.

That means that the server is using a lot of your computers power. It won't ever fully crash, it'll just lag like a piece of sh*t.

Hey. Thanks but could do with some help. I got it working so thanks very much :) I connected with a different computer and I could get on the server fine. However, my friend in Scotland and other people not in this area cant connect. I have done the port forwarding right, I checked, the port is open so no problems there. Is there any fix you know about? An answer asap would be very helpful and appreciated :)

Ask them to join with the external IP address, not the Internal.

Otherwise, it's their networking from other areas, if your ports are open, it's their problem..

Thanks for the heads up, although i've tried that before in the lower-dated versions of Minecraft, it said in the server console itself that there are problems with ports :(
