  • I like hawkwind. Psychedelic 70s- you don't see that all the time.

  • This is the real shit! Love this tune and album so much.

Good quality sound, and the bass and drums are so much clearer than on the cd ive got =)

  • I LOVE the beginning while driving car >:)

  • Thankyou, stoned again and got the munchies, this track is a mind fuck..... Peace and anarchy.

  • lemmy wrote the best stuff (:

  • @Demonsword92 2 and a half songs... o_0

  • @quarkwrok yeah and they're the best songs, your point??

  • @Demonsword92 Surprised that all. Whatever floats your boat. I only like about 10 Motorhead tracks and it ain't his versions of Motorhead the watcher or lost Johnny.

  • @quarkwrok what about silver machine? and i'm pretty sure he wrote brainbox pollution or this one, not sure

  • @Demonsword92 SM & brainbox Brock/Calvert, Psych Warlords Brock. He wrote the 3 tracks I mentioned, Lost Johnny with Mick Farren of the Deviants. His musical input into the band was strong though.

  • Good audio quality, thank you very much!

  • Maybe legalized in you drugged world BUT that'll never going to happen

  • Love it!

  • this song has a little early motorhead feeling... in terms of guitar and bass !

  • I can hear whatcha mean

  • Hawkwind - The Psychedelic Warlords, stoned out of your mind going to Lions Head in Carbon Canyon, now those were the days. Freaked out of our minds telling stories of an escaped crazy guy with a hook for a hand. The story was about a guy and a girl making it out in a deserted place late at night when they heard on the raido to be on the lookout for him, when they got home a bloody hook was on the door handle of the guys car on the passenger side. Great stuff!!!!!

  • Welcome to the Jungle!

  • fucking great trip

  • "ALWAYS AND FOREVER HAWKWIND!!!!!"

  • Fly man, fly on the music

  • Oh yeah..Hall Of The Mountain Grill, STILL an awesome album after decades.

  • stonehenge 84 was the best time to see them.

  • just discovered this band .....FUCKING WOW :)

  • @rastabalkanraj I was the same 30 years ago mate. I hope in 30 years you can listen to all the albums and the tracks will make you recall great times.

  • seen hawkwind in glasgow apolo 25 years ago out my head on acid fucking greatime what a light show

  • Hawkwind is practically unknown in the US. When I'm president I will have a national holiday called Hawkwind day. It will be a free society so you can listen to whatever you want on that day, but... something tells me you'll listen to Hawkwind anyway. I mean what better background music to enjoy all the newly legalized drugs as you celebrate your freedom.

  • @kemicon

    Kemicon for president!!!

  • Sold all my Hawkwind Albums after change to CD`s, what a shame

  • @satellites1

'What a shame' is an understatement.

  • lsd free greek doping hooligans

  • ... you can disappear in smoke. Sleep, champion, sleep for just awhile.

  • everytime i hear this i'm instantly transported back to the day i first heard it when i smoked durban poison. awesome track. is that terry ollis on drums? can't remember

  • @Mrmorlam1 I have`nt heard of Durban poison since Tangiers 1964 .Ha Andrew

  • Respond to this video...Needed to see the musicians not freeze dried crap

  • See them 2 nights ago and they still amazing. Fantastic night!!!!!

  • I get high on the music, dont need drugs, but i understand if you plastic people need some dope to listening to Hawkwind. :)

  • @phillyflu plastic people? what about hawkwind are they plastic too cuz im guessing they would have had a go at the dope LOL

  • @phillyflu I also ge thigh off the music..... but that doesn;t mean that dope is bad with the music..... it's actually rather wonderful....

  • @phillyflu hey superbrain... drugs, espacially lsd and weed, makes hawkwind and this kind of music sound more... cool... it's very very cool! Believe me ! I can't put into words the feeling when you're tripped listening to this =p~

  • @evilmaniac999 werent they more into LSD?

  • @ChuckRayNorris1 check out the documentary parts 1-9 hawkwind was a collection of so many people and so many drugs...albums were released according to whoever was semi sane at any given time :O)

  • @ChuckRayNorris1 yes, they were ... they were like dedicated fucking dopesmokers and big lsd users !

  • @ChuckRayNorris1 In their early gigs they used to take great delight in trying to freak out the acid heads in the audience with the sound as well as taking it themselves.

  • @evilmaniac999 I know man!!!

  • @evilmaniac999

    I know man!!!

  • We're sick of politicians harassment and laws All we do is get screwed up by other people's flaws World turned upside down now there's nothing else to do But live in concrete jungles that just block up the view And that ain't no joke, you can disappear in smoke And that ain't no joke, you can disappear in smoke I'm telling you, that ain't no lie You think you know the answers but we don't tell no lies We can take you anyway thro' seven different highs I couldn't post all of the lyrics sorry
  • This is the shit

  • TRIPPY

  • BARBAROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!!

  • This song = awsomeness

  • Resin was uncontaminated in the 70's. Now theres all kinds of crap mixed in... and everyones smoking "skunk weed", which seems to me artifificaly grown poison...I don't smoke anymore, but observing people who smoke skunk 24/7 I dont think they are getting anything from it, like we did in the 70's or 60's......smoking weed has become like smoking tobbaaco but much worse. No real Psychotropic effects I can observer....no one gets high anymore. Skunk weed is just bullshit in my view.

  • @Kristopful yes my freind bring back red seal or some great solid...maybe some decent fucking leb.....thank ya for opinion...squeak!

  • @Kristopful 'Skunk' is just a generic term for commercially grown sensimilla, often cut with glass powder to add weight & a more crystalline appearance.

It's better to be self sufficient, as that way you can vouch for it's 'cleanliness', ie: not over fertilised, & adequately leeched before harvesting, then properly dried & cured. Commercial growers don't even bother drying it, never mind curing it. The sooner it's legalised, & taken out of the hands of gangsters - the better.

  • @RedBryn Cut with "glass powder".thats a new one on me but I can believe it as the active Psycotropic element in skunk weed has glistening particals, which are the active element. But anyone with any knowledge knows this element is sticky, like a tacky glue. Still people are ripped off and are smoking "glass". I dont smoke anymore, not for decades, but my gut and observation says this force grown skunk is a poison & resin is being laced with opium and other shit chemicals. You just dont know what

  • @Kristopful The stickiness is also obtained by people spraying the plant with sugar solution which when dried gives a sticky feel and a more crystalline look. They may or may not decide to use the powdered glass and believe me it goes on.

  • @RedBryn Actually it is sprayed on in a solution containing powdered glass. They also use fibre glass and it is more for the crystal look than to bulk up the weight.

  • @OrpheusIsThe1 Yeah, there's some bleedin' rogues out there! Keep it clean - grow your own ;-)

  • @RedBryn

I'm not sure where you get your bud, but I've never once seen good ganja laced and weighted in the way your describing. You can always tell what good trichs look like i.e. the bent tip on mature ones. Also I've never seen it having been failed to be dried, and depending on the price I've never once seen it failed to be cured properly(only once in the price bracket I'm thinking of).

  • @malmike69 Obviously, dealers over your side of the pond aren't as devious as they are over here in the UK ;-)

I only smoke my own, so thankfully I don't have to deal with such underhand characters!

    PEACE!

  • @RedBryn so what ! so what you boring little cunt !!!!! im smoking my own grow now and pure chrystals , pure peck talk

  • mushie brew time

  • I never even heard of this band until the other day...I have a new favorite band

  • Classic!

  • this is a monstruosity... in the city... i mean ... this is the perfect song to shock grandmothers and even young straight man listening to coldplay and votin' conservative party... that's a real nightmare for a whole part of the population... and dirty and dangerously atttractive and wildly adventurous for the other part of the population.... the open minded people(with or without products)...yes for those who leads their vessel towards the faaarrr left !

  • Press Play from Angelus Temple, Matthew Barnett, Panama Hotel, George D. Lim, Life is No Joke!

  • love this song. brock = genius just like calvert and turner was crazy. Only hawkwind has so many in one band!

  • The best place Ive had Sid from in years is Goa. Theres some israulie lad doing one of Owlies recipies and if you know where it is you can get little 10 ml bottles. And of course theres the Hoffmans that are ever present. But even if you cant find them theres the bottles of liquid shrooms. Very nice. Great giggles. (So Im told hahahaha)

  • fucking great acxid trip

  • AWAYS AND FOREVER HAWKWIND !!!!!

  • These are the gods,

  • A 5 star song: Psychedelic Warlords (Disappear in Smoke) - Hawkwind [England]- 1974 - "One of their BEST. Their political statement. Its churning riff neatly camouflaged behind guitar effects and one of Hakwind’s most memorable melody lines. This is right between America's pullout in Vietnam and it's collapse." - Hall Of The Mountain Grill (UK Bonus Tracks) (EMI)-2001.

  • lets see justin bieber try to person this song. he is nothing but a bloody wanker.

  • @captainshadowdreamer another person who talks about bieber on another video, drop it already., why must i have to write the same damn thing on every video i watch

  • @qwq45 it was ment to be to prove that he is whats wrong with the music industry today. hawkwind fucking rules. its at least real music. if you can't handle that. than all i can say is go jump into bat of mononucleat acid.

  • @captainshadowdreamer why even mention him,talk about hawkwind.thats it

  • @captainshadowdreamer I WASNT EVEN GOING TO TOUCH THIS,BUT ITS SO INCREDIBLY STUPID.JUST LIKE WHEN A DOG GETS HIS HEAD STUCK IN A HOLE RETARD DO YOU EVEN NOW WHAT MONONUCLEIC ACID IS, APPARENTLY NOT.BECAUSE IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE A VAT OF DNA. YOU PROVED THAT YOURE A RETARD ON 3 SUCCESSIVE POSTS. I HPOE YOURE ONLY 13 YRS.OLD IF NOT,ITS TOO LATE FOR YOU.IF YOU ARE, YOU BETTER IMPROVE YOURSELF.

  • @qwq45i am not a retard im autistic please note that ok.

  • @captainshadowdreamer i dont give a shit what defect you have,im not prejudiced towards no one,i treat all assholes the same

  • @qwq45 lets agree to disagree ok. thank you.

  • Save money. Get passport. Say goodbye. Catch flight. Don't return.

  • Damn, what a great song... and i missed this pearl till now.

  • Anyone from birmingham......do u remember the eagle on hill street.....bogarts on new street....the rio @ the yew tree, sheldon......happy dayz!!!!!!! Hawkwind r simply the best!!

  • Have just been discovering Hawkwind over the last 10 months, and its fucking brilliant! I love discovering new music and thank God I did, Hawkwind are the dogs doo dahs!

  • you can disappear in smoke...uhahaha great

  • @2112murphy but it is also the other way round. listen to motörhead's "metropolis" and you know what i mean ;-)

  • i fucking love hawkwind .

  • Last response - One year ago. Look at the state of America now - Concrete jungles - How about dependence on Oil - gulf of mexico - live gusher under water we cant seal - future of american cars? our future? BP bail us out?

  • good sound.

  • ain't it: Live in concrete jungles, houseblocks built on you ?

  • Almost felt like i was going to go through an acid flashback half way through song, just got that strange rush of feeling o.o

  • Who cares what the state of your local top 40 is? Go find cool bands, ignore the things they want people who don't care about music to buy. It's just like psychedelics- you really just don't want the stuff you care about and treat consciously to be in the public eye. Won't be long before some dumbnut comes along and makes other people hate what you know is a Great Thing. (e.g. like Timothy Leary did, what a dumbass)

  • @Sidar654231 - Mr Leary was far, far from being a "dumbass"

  • Шикарно. Люблю эту песенку, да и этот альбом просто великолепен.

  • the best hawkwind track!!!!

  • My God, this is something great, amazing... Old good Band. Hawkwind, Pople Vuh, Guru - Guru, Can... Thank you, enter1993.

  • hawkwind are as good as the groundhogs and jet harris,

  • Fantastic track by a classic lineup off of a fantastic album. Thanks for posting it!

  • Its those Blue Microdots that sent everyone spinning into alternate multiverses , Or straight to the Main Man!

  • Another timeless classic, started following them in about '82.. Never stopped and never will....

  • I think HOTMG is their best album.

  • Fuckin' Cosmic, I bought this on vinyl when it was released, KILLER!!!!! Jesus, I must be gettin' old, lol!!

  • Me too. Vinyl in early 70's. I was the only person at my college who was really into Hawkwind. Still dig this song.

  • If this song doesn't take you another planet then you have something wrong with you

  • Bad ass song.. good upload.

  • Yeah! one of my evergreens!!! I buyed hall of the mountain grill as vinyl last year! this album is older than me^^

  • whoa

  • it aint no joke...

  • awesome !

    5*****

  • Of all Hawkwind's songs, this is among my absolute top favorites; my favorite album of theirs. THANKS for putting this up ! ~~~ Chuck

  • That sea of sound around the 3.16 mark is something else.

  • Love it

  • I love this song!!

    One of best psychedelic music!!

I want to show a text of this song.

  • that's right US use to make fucking good music especialy at 60's 70's but now, US music is fucking shit look at briney spears, lil wayn...

  • gaetyno , we still make good Music , who in the right mind would listen to Pop or Rap , check Fever Tree Rising and a number of Old Texas Psych bands coming back . Fever Tree is much better now then on here , Keller Voice is back strong . Or make it to Austin , then tell me , live music 24/7 ,bad ass bands and the Motto when you arrive , Keep Austin Weird ! Britney Spears Lil Wayne ,m are you a teeny Boper ? We had shit like 1900 Fruit Gum Company , yummy yummy yummy I got Cum in my tummy

  • Actually some rap is pretty good. I don't go in for that "gangsta" stuff too much. I think it's over done. But since the 70s the U.S. has produced some good groups. Current faves: White Stripes, Strokes, Rasputina, Faun Fables, and Death by Doll.

There also used to be this great band called Pressurehed who played similar stuff to Hawkwind, in fact they even did some albums with Nik Turner.

  • Yeah , I remember when Rap first came out it had rhythm , Its a Jungle out here ,

Late 70s , an odd time , New Wave Punk Disco and Rap . I was living on the Upper West side ands would laugh when tell me this is going to be a great neighborhood , Brownstones were going for $15 Grand fucked up but con ed fixed them up and you only paid for the roof and cleaning of the visaed . NYC was a shooting gallery , 76-80 all changed , even Blondie did Rap, Music has never changed as much as say 66-69

I have alltot of there suff, but nothing called that, my soul needs it. does such a creation exist? aoey , i pressed more jletters, but it sas too much.

  • Dude... are you high?

  • Considering I don't remember typing that, and it makes no sense whatsoever, than yes, I was high. In the past few weeks the only drugs I've done are pot, and DXM one time, with that said, I think the culprit is the DXM. Although I'm not high right now, I have to be up early tomorrow.

  • Around here theres never really any named acid. Its sometimes good, sometimes not so good, and the availability goes up and down. Weed though is a different story. I cant remember the last time i called my person and he wasn't able to get me some dank headies by the end of the day.

  • @LSDCoatedBrain mushie brew time

  • @LSDCoatedBrain Ahem..............in the 60s there was the pharmaceutical grade Sandoz L-25, then several "branded" blotters that were well made, consistent, and reliably available if you had the connection(MR Natural, Purple dragon, real windowpane) Same with all through the 70s and early 80s...black star, stealyourface, goofy, purple microdot all ran for years and were so consistent they became a bit boring. Quality control went down when the profit motive took over, cooks instead of chemists.

  • @mrmott44 Pickard.

  • i still hav this on vinyl.Hadnt heard in a long time thanx

  • Great song, indeed!

  • Hawkwind only brilliant !

  • Hippies? best tunes ever you jokes.

  • Fantastic!

Don't miss the big event at the Roundhouse this year (7th June) - a tribute to Barney Bubbles and Robert Calvert. All day music with Hawklords, Space Ritual, Amon Duul II, Quintessence and Tracey Curtis. Plus Calvert's plays, Barney's original stage sets and weird sculptures - lots of other stuff too.

  • this makes me think of old school X men for some reason

  • yeah sabbathman8815 i feel th same when listening to hawkwind!!! ace stuff ,listened to it in my early youth on mushrooms wow!!!!!!!

  • Hawkwind is the perfect space rock group... when I listen to songs like this, "Paradox", "Hall of the Mountain Grill", "Forge of Vulcan", "7 by 7", "Born to Go", etc. I close my eyes and imagine that I'm flying through some kind of space vortex with wind blowing in my eyes and weird planets, stars and lights surrounding me. Anybody else ever do something similar while listening to Hawkwind?

  • If im high. :p

  • sure do matey :)

  • the best band of everytime

  • I discovered hawkwind and floyd at the same time around 1985 and always thought they were very similar. I think they both make great use of new effects and new sounds.

  • The business...

  • just pure brilliance...

  • One of the sweetest songs ever made

  • type JOHN SMETHURST in the search box and ule find a great cover of this!!

  • PsYcHeDeLiC

  • anyone know where i can find bass tabs for this?

  • smoking weed I always thought it was Oh RightAngleJoe..you can disappear in smoke! from up in my apartment block...

  • a high rise??

  • This song brings back memories of the seventies ,when I lived in the netherlands-as you know what I mean, far out !

  • Yey.. Brock Planta for President

  • I spent my late teens experimenting while listening to Hawkwind and this is one of my all-time classics. Ah, how it takes me back....

  • I have the 7-Inch promo record for that album. It has a 3-minute edit of this song!

    I love it!

  • yeahhh hawkwind love u guys yeahhh this is real music

  • Hawkwind is an excellent band and somewhat psychadelic. I love their music and the fact that they produced Lemmy/Motorhead.

  • "Somewhat psychedelic" No shit Einstein.

  • Thanks. Someone with a basically unknown i.q.

  • Hawkwind sacked Lemmy in the middle of their American tour and blew their chance of massive commercial success. The band 'Motorhead' is entirely Lemmy's creation.
