why the weight lifting session for an athlete shouldnt be high in intensity ? (no pain no gain philosophy)

@rdaxx You can't go high intensity all the time otherwise the athlete will get overtrained

Do you think the medball exercises and the jumping circuits can be used for kids (8-12years old)?
