i noticed there was a change in exposure when the blue floor lights came on, was that because the 7d was set to auto? Or does it let you change the exposure yourself when shooting hd?
Also, whats compression like with the 7d?
And what files does it create for a single clip?
Does it shoot in RAW for video?
I do not care about stills atall, I am only interested in video, any infor you can give would be amazing.

ive got the same questions as andy asked.. please give us the answer..im replying so taht i can track the answer l8r... thanks for the question andy.. me also thinking of going for a 7 d and thats only for video shooting.. so mine and ur purpose is the same :D

You can adjust exposure, aperture, and iso while shooting live. Canon uses the mov/h264 format. And no, it does not shoot in RAW for video. That would be an insane amount of bandwidth to try to record.
