@trakomako No they did not. Respiridal all most killed me. I don't trust the drugs as being safe or effective for all people. Some people however very few people are not harmed but actually helped by them. Others it can be a nightmare come to life due to the side effects and then even worse in terms of withdrawal symptoms when they must stop taking them.

I've had psychotic symptoms since I was a small child and now as an adult I have Schizoaffective Disorder - a mix of Schizophrenia and Bi Polar Disorder.

This guy seems to know a lot about schizophrenia. Maybe not everything, but he has informed me enough to where I believe that I have a mild case of this mental disease. I'm going to call a psychiatrist and see if I can get on some medication. I believe that the type and severity of my case will be easily deluded over time. I think the spark of my symptoms was from drugs. (cocaine and marijuana.) I love to smoke weed and drink with friends, but it tends to bring out the symptoms that I have.

I have late onset schizophrenia. I would say that the negative symptoms have decreased greatly while the positive symptoms have increased. That being he is wrong about people who are able to funtion not getting the diagnosis I am able to funtion just fine but have still been hospitalized about 4 times in the past 10 years. This has not affected my ability to work at all.
