the music/instrument usage reminds me a lot of Black Horse and the Cherry Tree by Fellow Scottish phenom KT Tunstall. Wicked awesome track though. Travis are amazing.

I actually prefer the new album to The Man Who. In fact, I prefer almost all their albums to The Man Who. TMW is a good album, but I've never understood why there's so much fuss about it.

I love they new rockier sound. I loved Good Feeling for it's harder sound, but it was a little unrefined. This sounds like they've taken all their experience and created a Good Feeling Number Two, they've learned what they did rock back then, and have managed to make a truely smashing album.

what was wrong with Eyes wide open? I think it was the best track of the album, it definitely should have been the kick off single and after that, Closer and Selfish JEan... However, I think Travis is jinxed, as happened with Ocean colour scene, for unknown reasons... markets and NME are completely wank*rs

I'm a huge fan of Travis and I think an album like The Man Who would be very hard to make again , because that was a phenomenon , but they are still making good songs , I like this one too , it has a certain something that makes me sing it along in my head . As about the similitude with the eyes wide open (witch i liked less from "TBWNN") u people talk about I cannot really see it . This one is much better though .

Travis, much like my other favorite bands will never make the music that they were making when I fell in love with them. (The Man Who, Invisible Band) They need to keep growing and moving forward. To me, that is far better than burning out and breaking up.
