  • @Silversun634 didnt u say the samething in the rusted whel vid

  • yeah had two tabs open. thought i was posting on the rusted wheel tab,

  • @Silversun634 you sound gay....gross

  • I love his voice! It's so unique :)

  • His voice sounds like Kenny Loggins at times. Weird.

  • OMG!!! amazing!!! Keep up the good work! ^-^

  • god i fucking love this song

  • Can I come???

  • UncleTim1992 sounds like a party ;)

  • i keep meaning to get their album.

    i need it. badly.

cuz i'm on youtube 48578934 times a day just to listen to their songs, lol.

the local radio stations here neverrrrrr play em :(

    i think they should start!

  • 101.1 FM Columbus

  • i come from woman without weinersville......

  • Great song I love it

  • amazing fucking song <3

  • Just so everyone knows, this song is made 100x better when it has the 40 second intro from the song before it on the cd. You can search it by typing "silversun pickups royal we lyrics and intro". check it out.

  • @UnFathaMabLe Did you mean to sound like a complete dumbass or what?

  • @bananaordie whoa, that was a close one, thanks! yes, what I meant to say was I sound like a complete dumbass when I listen to this music. (Thanks man)

  • @UnFathaMabLe Wow a homophobe and a dumbass. I guess it's not a surprising combination. Maybe you should be drunk more often. Like until you get cirrhosis.

  • @Antiinc Homophobe, no, sorry.. As I said I dont mind man meat now and then. Are you just trying to get me drunk?! We can play if you want.....

  • @UnFathaMabLe Haha logic fails you agian. You said that you only like this song when you're drunk and that you are gay when you are drunk, and then followed that by saying both that your becoming gay and liking the song are bad things. You also called this fag boy music, which is using a derrogatory term for gay people to insult the song. Just because you're gay doesn't mean you aren't a homophobe. Oh and dumbass.

  • @UnFathaMabLe Thanks for sharing.........

  • @UnFathaMabLe

so ,honestly, whats wrong with being gay? why is it such a bad thing?

  • @gabbergaws23 There is nothing wrong with being gay, read my comments below

  • @UnFathaMabLe So if I show up at your door with a half gallon of vodka and this cd would you suck my cock?

This coming weekend might turnout alright after all.

  • nice. cool unique tune and lyrics....different mood than other songs, and that's amazing. :)

  • Ive wanted to listen to this song forever, well since I moved from Washington to Idaho. I miss the good music there, all I have here is crappy and braincell-killing country music.

  • Incredible song

  • intense.

  • heard this on the radio the other day about half-way through...one of there best

reminds me to listen to this band more

  • "Misery inspires, your throat has been cut several times before, never noticed the size of the flow It can't be ignored"....."And when its all over and you open your eyes and it still wont turn on inside, and you'll be lying by a note on the floor side".....those lyrics just left me flabbergasted, some of the most POWERFUL lyrics i have ever heard!! it's imperative people take them to heart!

  • saw them live at the hard rock casino in LAS VEGAS IT WAS THE SHIT!!!!!!!

  • Not only is the music good.. His voice is so sexy. I'd make love to it. :)

  • dang. that's a good song.

  • "A few others" As in a few other Silversun Pickups songs

  • I heard this song, Lazy eye and a few others live.. As well as like 16 muse songs live.. All in one night

  • i never feel happy after listening to SP. beautiful music but i've listened through both albums and decided, not for me. it makes me think of all the bad drug come-downs i've had in my life (which, of the like, 4, were from mushrooms or ecstasy. drugs can be fun or spooky, kids.)

mostly SP invokes images of the car rides home to the routine of life, thinking of the little deviation i can make on this planet... the Joker makes a living out of it in DK. everything can be burned, at the end.

  • I love this song, but I can't exactly place the emotion that it invokes in me. Its somewhere between joy and sorrow, hope and bitterness. ..

  • panic switch is the shit but im not really feelin this song

  • @khriseagle I just listened to Panic Switch and I couldn't get into it. Can't get into this one either. I guess Lazy Eye is the only one I like then. :(

  • @khriseagle I'm kind of the opposite I like The Royal We much better than Panic Switch, even though Panic Switch is a good song....but, this and Lazy Eye are my two favorites and Growing Old is Getting Old.

  • kenobigirliz i totally agree! addicted to this song, this band and the album... amazing!!!!

  • Superb, seriously where have the Silversun Pickups been all my life?

  • Beautiful 

  • i will never stop listening to this.

  • @jessruinstheprom and if you do, I'll hunt you down and......have a beer with you, possible talk about the good ol times, pick up some chicks, bring them back to a hotel and give them a royal fuck while listening to this song! how's that for a slice of awesome lol

  • 19 People don't feel Royal!:p lol xD

  • Probably one of the more detailed SSPU songs. I didn't expect to like it, as I'm still partial to Lazy Eye and Comeback Kid. But thanks for uploading. Good stuff.

  • This song is so perfect for one of my novels. If I could finish an animation on anything considering a timely basis, or if it was ever made into a movie, this song would play right before the epic final battle.

  • @horohorosrin And Panic Switch would be the song used during the epic battle ^^

  • @ciumadoir I like Aka Ikutsu Nise or Mirage Coordinator for the fight itself. Panic Switch sounds like an epic song for doing covert work.

I'm finding Silversun Pickups has a lot of good mood-setting songs. I approve!

  • i love this SONG!!!

  • those 19 peolple must hear biber shit

  • @demirulz12 NEVER SAY NEVER!!!!! lmao im just joking

  • awesome song

  • Silversun Rocks man !

  • Oh mercy me, I forgot people are people in 85...woo-hoo ! kill me already. lol.

  • an eye opener of a song! beautiful, i love it!

  • 1. LAZY EYE #102 U.S. Mainstream , #91 on U.S. POP., #5 on ALTERNATIVE charts.

    2. THE ROYAL WE #5 ALTERNATIVE charts

    3. PANIC SWITCH #92 on Mainstream charts., #1 on ALTERNATIVE charts.

    4. WELL THOUGHT OUT TWINKLES #9 ALTERNATIVE charts.

    5. SUBSTITUTION #17 ALTERNATIVE charts.

    (A) 5 ALT. Chart HITS.

    (B) 2 Barely hot 100

    Thus equating that

S.S.P. are an ALTERNATIVE band, not Mainstream Rock.

  • @vyqxendenny Panic Switch Billboard ROCK songs #4

Panic Switch Billboard HOT MAINSTREAM ROCK TRACKS: #38

LAZY EYE: U.S. Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks Year-End #17!!!!!!

    U.S. Billboard Pop 100: #91

U.S. Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks: #5

    etcetcetc

The fact they've charted AT ALL on ANY mainstream chart makes them mainstream. Shit, the fact they're on the radio...makes them BY DEFINITION...mainstream.

  • @emphaticleech or its just cos theyre so good?

  • @OldManDanHatcher I mean, obviously that as well. But that's also very subjective. My point is this band is not for 'abnormal' people who think they're 'lolanti-mainstream' because that's just stupid.

  • @emphaticleech The only songs they have on the radio are singles. They have an independent label. I.e. not mainstream. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Besides who the fuck cares? mainstream or not, this video isn't a debate it's a song. Call it what you will, but enjoy the music. A lot of work was put into it.

  • @IlkenGirth I love this song and band. But I'm not delusional enough to think they're not mainstream. Indie label? Who gives a fuck. They have music on the radio, music videos and have made appearances at the Grammys. They're mainstream. Why does everyone think mainstream means bad?

Oh and I guess Nine Inch Nails isn't mainstream since Trent has his own label, which is technically an independent label. And you think I have no idea what I'm talking about? yeah, k. cool story bro.

  • @emphaticleech It's based on a true story.

Like I said, it depends on the label and if they are under the radar. Which they are. They are out there, but they are no where near known enough to be considered mainstream. I heard them on the radio once, ever. Barely anyone knows who they are and if they do know then they don't like them.

Get a different hobby. I'm not arguing with you about this. Grow up. You obviously have your opinion and I have mine. Don't comment back, i won't respond.

  • @IlkenGirth "Don't comment back, i won't respond"? HA! Good cop out. I guess you don't listen to the radio much? Panic Switch is played about 5 times a day here. Hell, the music video is even always shown on VH1 and the rare Rock Block on MTV. Tons of people know who SSP are.

Hell, I know people who've never heard of Rush. And I know nobody around here who likes Green Day. GUESS THEY'RE UNDER THE RADAR LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

    Idiot.

  • @emphaticleech Despite the fact that you're kind of being a gigantic tool, I see where you're coming from. My local radio station plays Lazy Eye at least once an hour. Either way, get over yourself, I know what IlkenGirth is trying to say, and I think you do, too.

  • @sightfortheblind Gigantic tool, my ass. He's so high and mighty and thinks nothing good can come out of mainstream music...when he listens to a band that's mainstream. Ignorance gets people nowhere, especially in music

  • heard this song on 103.9 :D

  • 96.7 KCAL ROCKS!!! 103.9 THE X!!!!!! the inland emp/foothills/rim of the world radio stations.

  • great buildup

  • its all about Q101 man, 101.1 Chicago

  • Solid song.

  • This song is amazing. I kind of just pushed them aside on their first album and said "Meh, just a Smashing Pumpkins wannabe". Then, I heard this. Wow, I tip my cap to these guys. I will be buying this one.

  • i loveeee this song :]

  • is this a big lebowski reference?

  • how bout 89x/88.7 fm

  • i wanna see a good cover from a someone non famous if someone makes one let me know

  • Phenomenal to prolifically genius. Silversun Pickups continues to progress closer and closer to musical perfection.

  • eh this song is alright for the silversun pickups..they used to be all indie sounding but it seems like they are trying to rock a little harder.Good for them.

  • awsome! to bad theres 16 dumass's

  • @aRrEwn There always will be, although I think idiots were put on this earth for the more intelligent people to laugh at.

  • @TheLastDwelf hahahahahaha

  • @aRrEwn 17

  • This song is pure genious. I think that the whole album is awesome, but this is one of my favorite songs ever. The buildup, structure and lyrics in this song are so epic!!

  • I FINALLY FOUND THIS SONG. I LOVE IT.

  • Q101.1? chicago

  • 94.1 the edge? Michigan

  • I love the power in 3:10 --> So relieved, so relieved to the flow, and desire

Bitter sparks to the friendly fire

    Misery inspires ....

  • @DannyDanman It's such an awesome song!

  • its really cool when people think its really cool to "reject society"...

  • @swampdonkey504 I don't like society, I think the people who get fake tans, starve themselves, get haircuts every week, always are shopping for new clothes to live up to societies standards are the freaks. Not the ones who don't give a shit what they look like, eat all they want, go to sleep whenever they want, and don't care what people think of them (what society calls, freaks)

  • @TheRagnaroak Getting a haircut is rejecting society? I trim my hair once every couple weeks nowadays to keep the hair out of my eyes and it just looks really good.

  • @swampdonkey504 Also

By your logic, your saying galileo never should have said the earth was not the center of the universe, because he was rejecting society.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @TheRagnaroak Actually it was Copernicus that first said the earth revolved around the sun. But good point anyway.

  • @trekker0110 It would be more accurate to say Copernicus was the man who recieved credit for that idea as he had mathematics on his side. Wikipedia...

  • No..

Galileo did that for a scientific breakthrough. Rejecting society for something like that is completely different than how kids THINK they're rejecting society nowadays. Nobody on this planet is altruistic or actually rejecting some sort of group. Everyone is a part of a group.

  • @swampdonkey504 is a tryhard. (Y) this if you agree.

  • ratings for video?? no video Great song, love Silversun

  • 102.1 the edge anybody?

  • @Timmeh360 thats where i heard them

  • @Timmeh360 tucson right?

  • @dreamorigami Toronto buddy.

  • @Timmeh360 103.9 XFm (formerly the edge)

  • @girrrrrrr2 oh shit you too?! with 96.7 too right?

  • @Timmeh360 Prefer 97.7 htzfm or Q107 myself.

  • @Timmeh360 do u live in texas, cuz i used to live there and i listened to 102.1 the edge

  • @converseR2kool4u no but i have gotten that a lot. I'm from Toronto Canada. We Have an Edge here too!

  • @Timmeh360 edge loves this band. lol

    They almost over play them.

  • @Timmeh360 YEYAAAAA <3

  • @Timmeh360 I woke up to this song today listening to the edge..... Dean Blundell Show FTW

  • This music is hot ! It is only for us freaks. If u are acceptable to society, go back and listen to your creed, matchbox 20, daughtry, and nickelback !

Silversun Pickups are not for normal people, so please hit the curb with your tranny comments.

  • @vyqxendenny

I'm perfectly happy being "normal" and I love this song. It's fairly obvious you're trying too hard to be a special snowflake. Try being nicer.

  • @hexagonisaurus - Good for you. If you knew me then you'd realize that I am a special snowflake indeed, but since you like Silversun too, and you understand the fact that I wasn't directing my comment at you, you can take the joy of knowing that you are one of the lucky normal people that don't have to try so hard, like the rest of us who choose not to fit into acceptable categories.

  • @vyqxendenny It's not that society rejects me, it is that I reject society. I won't listen to music just because everyone else in my chemistry class says it is good.

  • @TheRagnaroak What is this, I don't even...

  • @vyqxendenny How is this band not for normal people?

  • @emphaticleech - Well, That's because this is alternative music, and the alternative to what's popular. And the term normal makes up the popular majority, and most of the majority don't listen to cool bands like Silversun Pickups. They should, but they don't. They're too busy listening to Justin Bieber, Nickelback, or Anything auto-tuned and obviously top 10.

  • @vyqxendenny what are you talking about? Silversun is pretty close to selling out stadiums. Alternative music is NOT alternative to what's popular. REM is a perfect example. Alternative and popular. And have been for 20 years onward.

The reason why Silversun is playing AOL and MTV unplugged is because they are popular with the majority (which you have called "normal people" ...hm...). These guys aren't unique at all. They're great, but not unique. Smashing Pumpkins + My Bloody Valentine.

  • @emphaticleech - Depeche Mode have sold out stadiums too, but selling out stadiums doesn't define a majority demand. When you take a good band that just happens to become a success, that doesn't make them in majority demand. It means that many people enjoy their music. Many, DOESN'T mean MOST. The charts speak for themselves. Silversun isn't ruling the majority, because most people tend to follow

    trends.

  • @vyqxendenny So what you're saying is, even though a band is selling out stadiums...they're still not popular just because they don't follow trends? So The Beatles, Black Sabbath, Cream, Rush and other bands in the 60s and 70s that were pushing the envelope and weren't falling into "trends" weren't in a majority's demand?

I think you're confusing what teenagers and kids believe is good with the vast majority of people who don't listen to what's "in" right now.

  • @vyqxendenny And you wanna talk about charts? Panic Switch was number 1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart for a week...know what was on it before? Linkin Park... who are hardly alternative rock.

  • @emphaticleech- Charts are not calculated every day. They are calculated, every week. Like I said before, yes "Panic Switch", was #1 on the ALT. charts. NOT MAINSTREAM ROCK. Alternative is MORE than just crunchy buzz breakthrough lyrics. The title of Alternative at one time represented what it was created to stand for...The Alternative to mainstream rock & pop.

  • @vyqxendenny no no. Charts are ALL mainstream. Like I said...Linkin Park was on that chart before Silversun knocked them off. So clearly, it's mainstream. They were also number 4 on the Billboard 200 for a week only beat out by Lady GaGa.

The title of Alternative was at one point, represented to seperate the stuff that wasn't punk rock or rock n' roll or new wave or synth pop at the time to distinguish stuff that would later become post-punk or noise rock from the others.

  • @emphaticleech - These sub-genre's like synth-pop, new-wave, post-punk, gothic, punk, emo, electro-pop, cold-wave, darkwave ect. They were all under the ALTERNATIVE umbrella in the 80's, because they were NEW, Unique, and most of them were not commercially accepted by mainstream RADIO.

  • @vyqxendenny The Cure and REM were on the radio in the early 80s.. So your point is invalid.

  • @emphaticleech -MTV played everything. Rock n Roll & Heavy Metal at that time we're enemies of punk. Punk wasn't about chicks or the image of the beast. Kurt Cobain killed true punk for some, and expanded punk for others. The grunge movement is responsible for the marriage of punk, rock and metal and finally destroying the difference between all of them. Marilyn Manson was the final nail in the coffin.

  • @vyqxendenny Heavy Metal and punk certainly were not enemies. That's why we have thrash. Bands like Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Annihilator, etc etc...all loved bands like the Misfits, X, The Germs, Bad Brains....

  • @emphaticleech -Rock, punk & metal we're not united in the 70's or 80's. Punk's used to call the metalheads a bunch of lowlife burnouts.

Metalheads used to call Punks, a bunch of British influenced f-gz.

Now please learn your history before forming an 28 year old opinion.

  • @vyqxendenny That's funny considering a lot of people (including metalheads, then and now) considered british punk a more commercial version of the Ramones and Stooges.

  • @emphaticleech -Yes, dark-wave, cold-wave, new-wave are all considered TRUE alternative. You must be a young child, or musically illiterate if you think different.

  • @vyqxendenny Alternative is an umbrella term for anything in the underground now? I'm sorry, but bands like My Bloody Valentine, REM, Liquid Nitrogen, Husker Du... all ALTERNATIVE ROCK do not sound anything like darkwave, coldwave, etc. Just because you've never heard of it, doesn't make it alternative.

LOTS of people have never heard of Hank III or Vince Gill. Doesn't mean they're alternative... they're still country. :\

  • @emphaticleech - Lot's of people haven't heard of Vince Gill ? YOU'RE JOKING RIGHT ?? Maybe lot's of kids your age.

  • @vyqxendenny That's my point. Just because people haven't heard of someone, doesn't mean they aren't mainstream. Example... Depeche Mode (Who are VERY MAINSTREAM), REM (I know a lot of people who've never heard of them), or yes...Vince Gill.

  • @emphaticleech -I never once said an alternative band could not be popular. That's why i brought up Depeche Mode. Very popular, but not projected at mainstream audiences, regardless of selling out stadiums. See that's where you were not paying attention.

  • @vyqxendenny Since when is Depeche Mode alternative rock? I didn't realize New Wave was considered alt rock nowadays. I guess I'll also lump in No Wave, Post rock, Post hardcore, Post punk and all those things in with the alt rock category now.

And if Depeche Mode weren't projected at mainstream audiences...they wouldn't have had videos on MTV and singles on the radio.

  • @emphaticleech - Depeche Mode didn't get a top 40 hit til 1989. MTV played music around the clock, something you wouldn't know about since you're only 28.

MTV wasn't about mainstream. They played EVERYTHING. What about that don't you understand ? MTV was never about TOP 40 ! Depeche Mode put out albums for 10 years before having a hit, and they were leaders on ALETRNATIVE NATION, and MTV Post-modern. You're not going to find everything in WIKI dude. Get over yourself, you weren't there.

  • @vyqxendenny And before I just start ignoring this idiotic debate...to be fair, Depeche Mode's first charted single was in 1980...Dreaming of Me.

  • @emphaticleech - Depeche Mode Rocks man, but dude! Dreaming of me wasn't a hit here in the U.S., maybe UK, but not here. And that Vyxen thing posted the charts first. Just because a chart is Billboard, don't make it mainstream. That's why they have charts specified Billboard Mainstream as vyxen said. Billboard alternative is not labeled a mainstream rock chart.

  • @emphaticleech -REM started out as an alternative band, but immediately became successful

after the music industry switched to full time promotion of alternative music in the late 80's and early 90's. People had become tired of normal, and wanted something new and unique. Rem may sound normal now, but their sound in the late 80's was considered unique, because it was NEW. BTW - Alternative is alternative to what's popular, that's why they call it alternative. lol.

  • @vyqxendenny That's where you're wrong. Alternative is characterized by the lyrics and crunchy melodies (or dissonance in some cases such as My Bloody Valentine or the Sonic Youth). It's like you're saying punk rock or coldwave is alternative. It's just not true.

  • @vyqxendenny Hey, I like Creed, Daughtry, and Nickelback, but I still love this song.

  • @leyonski

K i admit it does sound like a girl kinda, but appreciate the music man :) its good lyrics and sh*t

    xoxo

  • @leyonski Are you for real...it's a guy singing...retard...

    -.- there not GAY either...

  • @leyonski two hateful comments? don't you have something better to do, something productive?

  • @leyonski - If the song is gay, why are u asking if it's a woman ? Do you need pussy lips to do the singing ?

  • @leyonski fuck you

  • @leyonski No one is stopping you...

  • This is awesome.

  • Personally I can't listen to this song! Cause when they played it live it sounded SO much better!!!!!

  • my new addiction

  • one of the very few not prog bands i can consistently listen to

  • im addaicted to this song

  • This song just takes you through a journey or epic proportions. One of the few songs out there that takes you to another world. Gives me chills everytime I hear this song

  • I say them in concert with MUSE, I always thought the chick was the singer, little did I know, but I nows like the band even more. Plus the dude is quiet funny in between songs. I wish SSPU all the success in the world.

  • first heard this song on the radio at work, loved it instantly and it took me 2 weeks to find it
