  • @MP40meatballTR an Irish person

  • It isn't the Dubliners, they were all in their 60s in the 1980s when they did a version of this song. Who ever plays this is not the dubliners.

  • after watching this so many times i still listen all the way through the credits for this and discombobulate

  • Blackwood have got 5 bitches!!

  • how can you possibly not wanna watch this movie when you listen to this song ?!

  • La nostra canzone preferita dottoreeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!*_*

  • spoko XD

  • This song is awesome in its original form, but I think a dubstep would be cool.

  • @FlintSparkedStudios Fuck off your not ruining a good irish song with dubstep shite

  • @squeekycaravan Whoa! Trust me you can't beat the original form it would just be interesting. This song has been carried on for so long from its origins of an Irish folk song. The last thing I would want is to dilute its excellent quality. In fact I used to train for 5 finger fillet to this song.

  • awsome!

  • i just finished waching this movie and i loved this song so much

  • I love this song

  • Holmes;get that out of my face

Watson:its not in your face its in my hand

Holmes:well get whats in your hand out of my face!

  • @ghostgirlpodcast You got that backwards, watson said get that out of my face, not holmes! but I agree that it was a good quote

  • @1Celebrindor In the new movie coming out, its actually like that lol, the roles were reversed. It seems that's become something of a running gag in the movies now.

  • @ghostgirlpodcast if someone hasnt seen the film they could think you mean a penis

  • @ghostgirlpodcast Characters are the wrong way around, just so you know... :D

  • @ghostgirlpodcast the lines are the other way. Holmes has the cane in his hand and Watson wants it out.

  • i cant stop hearing it !!!!!

  • This song fit with the fight club perfectly

  • Best fighting music

    EVER!

  • I love this song, but my god, it is impossible to sing along to it

  • This is Luke Kelly singing. A talented and most loved performer of irish music and dublin music. He died at the age of 44 and ireland mournes him still.

  • 3 people dont know how to get to dublin

  • Who did this?

  • @popo6428 Luke Kelly was a very talented performer of irish music. A beautiful redhead, intelligent and politically aware but was really only interested in expressing his thoughts and beliefs through music. Irish and folk music.

  • Does this strike anyone else as extremely similar to River's Dance from the Firefly Soundtrack?

  • @arrakeenmerchant shutup

you haven't a clue what you are talking about.

  • @123connick Overreaction much? He only said it sounded similar to something. You don't have to be a massive cock jockey about it.

  • You don't know what you are talking about. This is a well loved tune in Ireland. Traditional Irish so don't even go there.

  • "capacity to spit at back of head.......neutralized."

  • for some reason i feel like running from the cops

  • gosh i love this song!

  • when dose he breath? lol

  • SNATCH...anyone? Guy Ritchie is an GENIUS!!!

  • 0:00 <-- Replay Button

  • I raped the replay button,perfect song...

  • Definitely "irishy"!

  • im iris and me friends and I always sing this sogn so i know all of the words :)

  • @lillyflower321 *O* Are you kidding me? XDD Awsome!!

  • 3 people are not human

  • This version is way better than Dropkick Murphys (but DM is a good band).

  • @DoYouFearDeath333 Don't forget Cruachan's version. And this is the traditional version of a very old song

  • I love this song and I love this movie

  • Woah, I so love this song.

  • thumbs up if you stayed in the theatre after everyone just to wait for the credits when it played this song

  • @MysticalPopTart I did too, but also to clean up the mess left after since it was my job at the time...

  • I Love The Music :P

  • 1,2,3,4,5 .. :D

  • Favorite song i memorized it and i cant stop singing it....

  • @Pivotdiddyx WOW YOU MEMORISED IT HOW IS THAT EVEN HUMANELY POSSIBLE?!

  • reminds me of when i was in temple bar. love how every irish song tells a story - wild rover - finnegans wake - whisky in the jar to name but a few. too good

  • * hiccup *

  • great song

  • Proud to be Irish, heegeehe!! :)

  • This song makes me imagine myself dancing crazy with a cup of beer in my hand.

  • @borjamapra too true lol

  • @borjamapra me 2 man... but with one beer in one hand and a whisky in the other XD

  • really good song...

  • really good song...

  • cool :)

  • Can anyone explain to me, why they used an Irish song for a movie taking place in LONDON? Is there a special reason, or is it just a typical american mistake in a movie, like the Dom and trainstation of Colognen in "A-team" when, the following scene takes place in Frankfurt?!

  • @TheFreakyVamp well if u look at it this way..... 19th century london probably had a good number of irish lower class scrubbing the streets for what little they could manage (half of the british army at the time was made of irish, scots, welsh) so its not really a mistake.

  • @2ndpadrummer Thanks for the info=)

  • @TheFreakyVamp idk i guess its a different tone from the normal strings and piano that the movie usually consist of.

  • @TheFreakyVamp

Well they used the thing in a brawl (stereotype of Irish guys) so it makes sense. Aside from that, it just fits in with the image of loopy Holmes.

  • @TheFreakyVamp well they used to song in a fight sene, and in America they have some sports team called the fighting irish or something like that, so... yah

  • @Bubbabean555 The University of Notre Dame has the Fighting Irish teams.

  • @TheFreakyVamp Also, just fyi, the director of Sherlock Holmes is English himself, so it wouldn't have been an American mistake. Either way, it's just a good song, so I don't care what country it accompanies:)

  • My GOD, isn't Robert Downey Jr. gorgeous? I can hardly stand it! xD

  • Ever since I was about seven I've wished that I had an Irish accent and lived in the Irish countryside. I blame the multiple viewings of The Magical Legend of Leprechauns XD

  • "Whack-fol-lol-de-raaa!" The only part I can sing.

  • one person hasn't taken the rocky road to dublin

  • @froggyman218 . I have! every day to get to work. Well not exactly the rocky road, its a motorway.

  • Me great gran-papi was Irish, he was =P

  • THIS WAS A GREAT GREAT MOVIE

    CANT WAIT THE SECOND ONE

  • the new sherlock holmes amazing

  • man it must be hard to sing a song like this. XD

  • @MurakumoElite A good pint of stout probably helps quite a bit. More will probably be counterproductive, though.

  • man i wanna fight !!!!

  • aww, them good Irish roots ;P

thanks for posting, i love this song

  • "ability to spit at back of the head"....."neutrolized"

  • WOW!!

  • This song is amazing! *__*

  • who wants to fight? arr lil' irish

  • @diegofany23 Let's go mate... Hit me as hard as you can...

  • @onepluseipi Just don't knock over me fuckin' beer!

  • great movie

  • Great actor, but in person he's a little cocky, probably why he wasn't nominated for the Oscar this year.

  • @Bubbabean555 in my opinion when you know you are good in something there is nothing wrong on showing off a litle bit yet ... you have to admit his cockyness makes him perfect for characters like this i mean the whole character sherlok holmes in this movie is cocky

  • @vivamexico254 thats my point though, if your going to play a cocky character, you shouldn't act that way in real life, Most if not all of his characters are cocky, just look at iron man. If he plays characters that are cocky and then he acts like that in real life everyones just going to think he's tight cast, and i'd think he'd want to aviod that sort of thing

  • @Bubbabean555 yeah but you can look at it differantly, since he acts cocky it lets him really bring the characters to life, and as a proffesional actor im sure he can change his behavior to play other characters.
