I love the church of Jesus Christ, because Jesus is the founder and the good shepherd for his true church. Listen to the prophets and do, what they teach, they have words of wisdom and deep truth.
I know without any doubts, that this prophets are true and leaded by god. Jesus Christ lives and is our redeemer and my saviour.
I too add my deepest gratitude to this loving kind man. Who walked on this earth a giant among men and moved in such magnificent force the Saviors gospel. He loved us, and he loved the Savior.His life was an example to us all. May we stand a little taller and do our part as he asked to.

I was amazed when i bawled like a little boy over a man i never had the chance to meet. He was truely a great man and a Prophet of God. I loved him dearly and he will be missed.

Um, if you look at the tags==you'll see that "South Park" is not referenced anywhere; not trying to be "decetiful" here. After poking around, I realized that "South Africa" and "Hyde Park" are two phrases in my description, but that's as close as it gets!
He certainly was successful at passing Mormons off as just another Christian denomination. Is this is what "stand a little taller" suggests? This certainly seems to be working outside the US in particular and most successfully in historically Catholic and Muslin societies where male power structures of status are the norm.
Stand a little taller is an encouragement to live a better life by doing a little better each day. Also, we are certainly not "just another Christian denomination." But we declare that we are Christians and that faith in Jesus Christ is our central belief.

I met Pres. Hinckley on my 35th at Sundance. We were both there with our sweethearts enjoying an outdoor play. I did make my way to him and shook his soft and aged hand. I told him 'thank you', his eyes met mine and without a word, I knew not one more word would have made this experience, this gift, more perfect. Praise to the man who communed with God, on behalf of a world and people he loved. I will miss his smile, his wave, his strength and committment, his spirit and unwavering love.

I will be so ever grateful, for his service. He came to Cols, Oh to announce our temple, oh what joy was in my heart, that day. The Spirit was strong that day, it bore witness to me that he is a man of God and that he was doing the work of the Lord. President Hinckley said over and over again that he truly loves us, I honestly believed him. I felt his love for us, continually. 'Til we meet again'.

Even as a member that has gone less active these last few years I can remember the look on his face and always how powerful it was. A 5 minute talk from that man and his smile are a true testiment of the lords work. I love you brother, friend and prophet!
Mere words can't express how much I love President Hinckley. I will miss his council, his teachings, his love for all, and his sense of humor. I have to smile, though, when I think of his reunion with his earthly and eternal companion, Marjorie. I can also imagine him being greeted by his parents and Presidents Faust and McKay, as well as Joseph, Hyrum, Brigham, and all the prophets before him. I would say Rest in Peace, but I know he is continuing the Lord's work, just in the Spirit world.

stake conference for us was on Sunday. President Monson gave the closing talk. his did not seem as well prepared as usual, and he seemed to ramble a bit. in retrospect i wonder if he knew president Hinkley was close to death, and maybe that was where his mind was.

That was absolutely beautiful. President Hinckley was the first living prophet I knew, being a brand new member, and I will miss him terribly. But, he gets to meet Joseph Smith, he gets to see his wife again, and he gets to live with God for all eternity. May he rest in peace.

I'm so thankful for the amazing life he served, and for the challenge he gave us in 2005 to read the Book of Mormon before the year's end. This personally affected me and without it I wouldn't have gained a testimony that this church is true. I love him even though he never knew me personally... and I'm happy for him though at the same time I'll miss him dearly.

I have watched this video a few times already. I was shocked as I watched the news and heard of his passing. He has touched the lives of millions upon millions, helping them come closer to our Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ.

That was a wonderful video. Thank you. I watched his funeral today and am amazed at what an amazing man he was. I already knew this, but all put together made it even more amazing. How he will be missed. God Bless the new prophet.

I met Pres. Hinckley on my 35th at Sundance. We were both there with our sweethearts enjoying an outdoor play. I did make my way to him and shook his soft and aged hand. I told him 'thank you', his eyes met mine and without a word, I knew not one more word would have made this experience, this gift, more perfect. Praise to the man who communed with God, on behalf of a world and people he loved. I will miss his smile, his wave, his strength and committment, his spirit and unwavering love.

Dear President Hinckley, or GBH as we always called you: Words cannot express the sorrow I feel in my heart and spirit since your passing. What a bittersweet moment it was to hear that you passed on to be re-united with your sweetheart. In a day and age of shifting values, you're courage to stand up and proclaim our beliefs to the world gave us the courage to do the same. I will never forget my prophet, Gordon B Hinckley.

I will be so ever grateful, for his service. He came to Cols, Oh to announce our temple, oh what joy was in my heart, that day. The Spirit was strong that day, it bore witness to me that he is a man of God and that he was doing the work of the Lord. President Hinckley said over and over again that he truly loves us, I honestly believed him. I felt his love for us, continually. 'Til we meet again'.

...Wow. First video on youtube that could actually bring tears to my eyes. He was such a great man, and the very thought of him brings feeling of the Spirit.
I remember how he once felt that he would be "the prophet that no one listened to," but I hope we can even now prove that was not the case.

Even as a member that has gone less active these last few years I can remember the look on his face and always how powerful it was. A 5 minute talk from that man and his smile are a true testiment of the lords work. I love you brother, friend and prophet!

Mere words can't express how much I love President Hinckley. I will miss his council, his teachings, his love for all, and his sense of humor. I have to smile, though, when I think of his reunion with his earthly and eternal companion, Marjorie. I can also imagine him being greeted by his parents and Presidents Faust and McKay, as well as Joseph, Hyrum, Brigham, and all the prophets before him. I would say Rest in Peace, but I know he is continuing the Lord's work, just in the Spirit world.

stake conference for us was on Sunday. President Monson gave the closing talk. his did not seem as well prepared as usual, and he seemed to ramble a bit. in retrospect i wonder if he knew president Hinkley was close to death, and maybe that was where his mind was.

That was absolutely beautiful. President Hinckley was the first living prophet I knew, being a brand new member, and I will miss him terribly. But, he gets to meet Joseph Smith, he gets to see his wife again, and he gets to live with God for all eternity. May he rest in peace.

He was a model of a moral, clean, pure life that he lived to set an example of just sheer " plain goodness " to his followers. Such goodness was radiant in Gordon Hinckley and we can so clearly discern when someone is genuine and just "really real" as he was. The spirit was so clearly upon him! I wish I could have told him "You are so, so holy." God bless you, the dearest, dearest friend to all.

Excellent tribute to a giant of a man and a giant of a prophet. In my mind's eye, I imagine seeing him with his sweet wife Marjorie and also catching up with Joseph and Brigham and many others. I also imagine the Lord saying to him, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant..." Thank you again.

I'm so thankful for the amazing life he served, and for the challenge he gave us in 2005 to read the Book of Mormon before the year's end. This personally affected me and without it I wouldn't have gained a testimony that this church is true. I love him even though he never knew me personally... and I'm happy for him though at the same time I'll miss him dearly.

My Beloved prophet. He will be truly missed. I live very close to Nauvoo and i'll never forget the day the temple was dedicated and i saw president hinkley walk out of the doors dressed in white. He now will be eternally dressed in white. Till we meet again My prophet. I will always love you <3
