  • LOL awesome drama, so legit!

  • why i can't get the worksheets??

  • i was laughing so hard at the CF I woke someone up!

  • the commercial seemed to be real....

    #Just sayyin :\

  • @NSChanal you put ㅇ at the bottom to make it "ng" for example 방 which is "Bang" (means room) or it can be a silent consonant because vowels cannot stand alone ^^

  • cute girl ~

  • Is it just me or is ᄋ always pronounced as a 'n'

    for axample: 사랑해 - saranghae

    I'm confused :(

  • @NSChanal as a starting sound, it's not sounded, as final sound, it sounded as 'ng'

  • @kaizer1784

    Ah! Thank you ^^

  • @NSChanal its a silent consonant! Mentioned in Lesson 1! :)

  • i thought this was going to be harder than japanese but it's sooo much easier XD still love japanese though

  • Ai wehhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

  • aah! lesson 4 is more difficult. haha

  • Can you teach hot to spell words... Like

I notice that 'sarang' is spelled, 사 랑

But i dont understand how to join the alphabets, like '랑' . How do you know which alphabets are at the top or bottom?

  • @hurumyboy hey just search for this vid Reading/Writing Korean part 1 of vinnora07 her vids seem pretty rookie but you wil notice that after a time her explanatioons are easy and good ive started with her and i can write almost fluently ;) ( started 3 weeks ago )

  • I really enjoy ur lessons but Diphthongs are still throwing me off so wat r all the possible consonant and diphthong match-ups? I noticed it said just because you match a diphthong with a consonant doesn't make it a word. So i was just wondering. 감사함니다 and keep doing these AWESOME Korean lessons!!!!!! :)

  • you are amazing! your lessons are helpful, informative, fun, interesting, and easy to understand

  • You are GREAT!!!! Great teacher, great actress, great everything!!!

  • Omg that commercial part was so funny ha ha

  • Best Korean lesson ever! The credits to the mini-Korean drama had me in stitches! xD

Sending plenty of fan-love from Australia! We love you, Professor Oh! :D :D

  • eu i eu i eu i eu i eu i....

    (learning to pronounce it)

  • I must say, these are phenomenally made, extremely informative, and easy to follow. Thank you very much for your effort in creating these videos, please know that it is greatly appreciated.

  • I'm kind of confused about the diphthong 의 because in some words it seems to be pronounced different like in 어둠의 it is pronounced like an "eh" ? And sometimes like an I too, can somebody please help me with this?

  • @live2lovemusicc Yes, I wonder why she didn't mention this! When 의 is the possessive particle, e.g., 유미의 차 = "Yumi's car," where 의 is translated " 's " (This expression can also mean "The car of Yumi"), it is pronounced just like 에 most of the time, or like 예 when following certain vowels. So, 유미의 차 is pronounced [yoo-mi-eh cha], but 너의 차 ("your car") is pronounced [neo-yeh cha], just because it flows more naturally that way.

  • @wuwei87 thanks a lot ^^ now I'm able to pronounce pretty much anything :D

  • OMG how I love professor Oh!!

  • Billy Jins voice is lower in this

  • wow wow wow. very good. you are an awesome teacher. :)

  • Pouty not potty

  • NOOOOOO!!!! they can't be over yet!!! I will miss her saying 'OPPA!!!' in a potty voice

  • HAAAAAAAAAARD !!

  • best Korean lessons ever, i wish actual school was like this.

  • Lol, go grandma!

  • 9:45 they are like (잗데ᄃ다)

Chaddedda = What the fuck ??!!!

  • I'm confused but getting there.

  • i love the drama---it was so very dramatic ♥

  • The 에 and 애 diphthongs are not exactly the same - in theory. While 에 is pronounced as in "red", the 애 diphthong is pronounced with wider opened mouth - as in "met" or "bed". In reality, the differences aren't really noticeable.

  • Omg, the CF rocks. It's like actual CF for cosmetics but then it's for wafers -.-

  • Awesome vid!! Thanks for the help. Trying to teach myself korean after my roommates got me into korean dramas :P

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I LOVE YOUR KDRAMA AND CF!!! I'M STILL ROLLING ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING.. YOU ARE TRUELLY AWESOME!! Thank you Pro. Oh for not only teaching me Korean, but making it very entertaining too .. =D

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH YOU ARE THE BEST!!

  • Hiii Profesor Oh! I'm from CHILE! and, I want to say thank you, because your videos are great, and really have helped me to understand the Korean language, I would like to please you showed the combinations that can be made between consonants, double consonants and vowels, to build words.

I hope you read my message.

Greetings from Chileee! and again, Thanks for your videos!! :D

    Cami ~ ^ ^

  • profesor Oh!kamsahamnida!!^__^.im here because im a Big Bang fan!!lol are they people here because of kpop too?xD

  • You've made learning diphongs ssooo easy! Thank you! Keep up the good work!

  • HAHAHAHAHAH the mini drama was awesome!!

  • they should use ur commercial as one for tv.

  • How long do people think it would take on an average (I know each persons will vary a lot but rough estimate) for me to learn Korean enough to understand most or all of what's going on/being said in Korean variety shows without subtitles?

  • anyeong class :D

  • I'm better with sounds and hangul, than words and phrases. I find ae (the H shaped one) is said like the a in hand, but in an American accent. Say a word with a short a, in a way that sounds a bit like an e. Konglish words, and English word that are Koreanised, when it has a short a, it's written as ae. Like cell phone is haendeupon.

  • You're a good teacher kamsahapnida...haha taekwon is busted lol

  • You're like a perfect teacher/actor LOLOLOL

  • wow this is really amazing... its hard but we students have to study more often .. thank you professor !oh! this was the best class i've ever had :))

  • taekwon do , very handsome haha

  • why does the consonant 's' look different comparing to the writing lesson 2? hope someone will answer, thank you:))

  • @bonbon1260 i'm pretty sure she used a different font or something. i noticed, too. :)

  • - 오 선생님의 이름이 미나인가 봐요? 그렇죠?

  • i need to learn this fast. so that i can watch videos even without subs :)

  • @nessaVANESSA12 i thought that was the reason everyone was watching.

  • Kamsahabnida prof. Oh :)

  • Why's Billy's voice so deep in this video...

  • Great sense of humor. And very good explanation to differentiate between the diphthongs!

  • My favorite Korean teacher! 감사함니다!

  • I so LOVE Professor OH, she's not just cute but also handsome. Lol, just kidding. Love your videos so much and 나는 한국을 사랑. I hope I got it correct. 정말 감사합니다!!! Make more of this kinds of video, looking forward on visiting Korean one day!!! You're the best!!! ^_^

  • Oh my gosh thank you so much I've been searching everywhere for someone that will explain the difference to me between all the "weh"s, thank you!!!

  • Thank you so much for this lesson!

  • is it sad that i looked at the title for the drama and started singing? im so sorrry but i love you! VIP's know what im talkin bout. and a thought just occured to me. is there no q or f equivalent in korean?

  • Could you do a video on how to pronounce korean romaji? That would be wonderful :') If not, oh well. I just hope to see another lesson from you soon :o

  • @ProjecktDieTraum You're an idiot, learn 한국어, it's so simple.

  • To write "얘", press "d" hold shift and "o" with the Korean layout on. (not only this: Click on "A" on Windows' IME, the A will changed into a 가 and you can start writing Hangul. You can switch to the US layout back, by pressing 가 in the IME.) In order to write 예, hold shift and "p".

Diphtongs on your computer (write as pictured):

    ㅇ+ ㅡ+ㅣ= 의,

    ㅇ+ ㅗ+ㅣ= 외,

    ㅇ+ ㅗ+ㅏ= 와,

    ㅇ+ ㅗ+ㅐ= 왜,

    ㅇ+ ㅜ+ㅣ= 위,

    ㅇ+ ㅜ+ㅓ= 워,

    ㅇ+ ㅜ+ㅔ= 웨

Please note that the Z and Y are changed on the US-layout.

  • HAHA the drama was so good!! Just like the actual dramas ^.^

  • LMAO at the drama.. i thought it was so funny and awesome haha xD

  • wat r diphthongs anyway?

  • Good teaching (: but could you made a video on how we should actually form sentences? I think that's actually the most important because we can slowly build the vocabulary up ourselves. Do a video on grammar and sentence structure yeah?

  • LMBO at the drama at the end!!!

    That was good!!

    Better than some real dramas!!

I loved the ending, just like a real one, the image freezes and then you see the credits!!! (Notice how I'm such a Kdrama addict lol)

    The waffer commercial!! Ahahahahaha

Thank you so much, I'm learning fast with your lessons!!

    Kamsahabnida!!! :-)

  • i really enjoy your way to teach korean. And your characters are so funny. You re really cute&sexy as billy. RyoNoHikariさん日本語を忘れないように漫画読めばどうですか。でも한글を書き方を並ぶように日本語を韓国語で書くよ。j en suis a la lesson 4 et j ai hate de voir les autres...Professor Oh you have a real talent!

  • diptong lol

  • This is the first time I got so interested with how to write korean rather than just listening to the dramas...

  • Professor Oh I think "there", they're", and "their" would have been a really good analogy for the reason of why there are so many "weh" words:)

  • new student character! ^_^

  • @SilverParker20 yeoja (여자) means women or girl =)

  • 5:03 it looks like a table with a chair and on the table is ball

  • When I mean writting in hiragana I mean writting the letters that can be compaired to hiragana and those that aren't in the Japanese alphabet I translate underneath as katakana and korean words with Japanese rather than English so I'm use to both languages.

  • 韓国語が覚えるために、僕は韓国を日本語のひらがなと日本語の言葉を書きます。それから、日本語を忘れないので、まだ韓国語が習っているね。 (what I'm doing is, I'm writting korean in hiragana in order not to forget Japanese so that way I can learn Korean and not forget Japanese.) interesting way of doing it but yeah I think it's working out for me.

  • LOLOLOL! 9:43 i really felt like I was watching a K-drama and couldn't wait for next week!!! Lol thanks teacher!

  • I looooove doramas, lol, just finished 49 days. Loved the way you made your own. Im definitely suscribing-

  • @selfportrait8 Me too. It's so useful. Awesome!

  • good tutorial, but it's always best if you really attend a korean language class and then you will just use this video so that you have an audio/visual reference at home.

  • how do you say "you're so pretty" in korean?

    :-)

  • @BboyJuice98 maybe you know the shinee song "replay" they sing "noona 너무 예뻐" that means "noona you're so pretty" then the answer is: "너무 예뻐" (nomu yeppo) :) i hope it helped!

  • what is the meaning of yeoja? :O

  • Can you do one on introducing yourself and/or other people?

  • Omg the ending of the mini drama was like a real drama. That's so awesome! I love the commercial thing. I thought it was a stick of gum then it was like "Wafer" I cracked up. xD

  • i loved the mini drama C: Professor Oh Fighting <3 Best teacher ever

  • hahaha the wafer....

  • Best explanation of dipthongs ever... I easily get these vowels mixed up all the time ;) I'll have to repeat this lesson more than the others now that I have an organized way to memorize them :D

  • i love the CF

  • Love your videos! You are an excellent teacher.

    Thank you very much

  • Professor Oh ,can you teach us about Korean Syllable Construction please!??!

I will like to learn when am I to write a vowel to left or right or same with the consonants ,How is this square building structure suppose to work so I could read it better and write it too.

  • You Should Do More CF's Professor Oh! :D <3

  • hi im a little confused for the last weh. (for english thing) how would you use it on an other word? thankyou :)

  • Thank you for such an awesome (and amusing) introduction to Korean! Loved the mini-drama. [Fav Part: "싸워라! 싸워라!" LOL.]

  • Professor Oh, are you wearing an invisible watch? XD

  • thank you sooo much i love these and im learning really fast

  • When will you be uploading your next full lesson?

  • so 애 and 에 are pronounced the same?

i'm taking korean this year (self-taught though), and our tutor says that they have slight differences, but i really can't tell.

  • @andthisiswhoweare I think (I could be wrong) 애 has slightly more of an 'ay' (like way or say) sound. 에 is like eh, like the 'eh' sound, like 'meh' or 'red'. Like I said, I'm not 100% sure. :c Hope I helped~

  • @stabofhappiness2 thank you ^^ you did! i can tell the difference now actually when i hear it. it makes sense too. like 베트남. it's definitely more of an 'eh' sound than an 'ay' sound. thanks again :3

  • @andthisiswhoweare hum.. it defends... in correct, standard pronunciation, two sounds are obviously different, many senior's pronunciation, news anchors, north Korean one have clear destinction between them. but nowadays young people's casual proninciation is apt to intermingle them into 에. original 애 must be between 에 and b"a"g. the same gose to 외, 왜, 웨 aged people in central Korea proninciate them differently. oh. yes, north Korea preserved them too..

  • Where's the new episode of this DRAMA??? owo XDDD So funny I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL my friends and I like watching your videos and copying down notes :O
