Woo-boy, that was intense!!! VERY well played, wonderful sense of architecture... I did not get the feeling that the cadenza was too long or too ridiculous. Good job with contrast between the normal concerto part and the cadenza, and between the orchestral sonorities and the piano parts. Also, a wonderful transcription by Alkan, who was a master transcriber. These pieces were transcribed often back in that day, for recording technology did not exist to easily hear orchestral works like concerti.
Have always thought this transcription was a marvel! I wish more pianists would take up its cause! Thanks for posting.
