do you have your own beehives stephen? as a lot of orchard owners like yourself do? by the way i am so envious of the beautiful orchard you have created, i can see by all the blossom on the trees that the hard work has payed off! i can just imagine haveing a summer bbq and a nice cold beer sat in the orchard while all the trees are in blossom :-)
we used to keep bees but it is a lot of time and thought, we gave up after being wiped out by a nasty disease called varroa. I don't jhave the time. However, a wild hive has settled into one of our abandoned beehives and ewe leave them to themselvs. We maintain a large amount of hedgerow and have just established a quarter acre wildflower meadow to help maintain a good population of bomble and other bees
