EXACTLY. that was one of the first things I noticed at the screening of this. No wonder the french are doing so well. They have pride in who they are, and you can see that in the way they carry themselves. Instead, american kids are flat ironing their hair , changing skin tones , and wearing one brand of bullshit clothing from head to foot. ugh.

@TOmOeItOh Yes and no. It's true that those last years, it's very fashionable a guy with tousled hair in well-off places, but wearing whatever you like, no it's wrong. You say that because clothes in this movie might seem to you excentric, chosen with a lot of liberty, but for me it's not. What looks like has-been or negligee in french in text here is actually meticulously chosen and belongs to the rich parisian fashion. You're watched and not "in" if you don't follow the rules in Paris.

@gaelmacman Well but you choose what you wear, perhaps you like to wear really colourful clothes but you meticulously choose which of all the clothes in your wardrobe (or whatever) you're going to wear, to make a good combination. I've been there and I think I was the only one looking at some people wearing -not so common where I live- clothes, because the rest seemed not to care 'bout it. In Paris sure people wear nice clothes but I saw very common clothing there too.

The song is 'Il Dolce Suono' from the Opera 'Lucia di Lammermoor' of 'GAETANO DONIZETTI'. The version of the movie is by Maria Callas. You can find that song at Deustche Grammophon Web Shop, search for 'Il Dolce Suono. Also i would advise you to get Bach's 'Prelude in C minor BWV 847'(Helene Grimaud), which is also in the movie... bon chance.. Salut ps.: listen to the Prelude followed by the 'Fugue in C minor BWV 847' it is simply perfect to say the least.
