  • Does anyone know if Time Warner's wireless routers have a co-axle cable port? Not sure if I spelled that one right.

  • 50MB DOWNLOAD GOD DAMN MY ISP MAX IS 12MB FOR 50 BUCKS *sigh like only 1 in my area though :(

  • I have the road runner 30Mbps and it works great! It's not a ton faster than the Turbo in terms of download rate, but I get 5Mbps upload rate like the 50Mbps plan does. Also, I pay only $50 vs $100 for the 50Mbps or $40 for turbo.

If you want to upgrade your speed from turbo but don't want to pay 100, the 30Mbps is a great option.

Also, you don't have to pay the extra for wifi, just log into your router and click "restore wireless defaults" and it will work.

  • lol people are like "my 5/10/15 meg plan sucks its too slow..." be lucky you have 1 meg, i have a fucking 756kb down it sucks ass, cant wait till i get 15 meg down

  • This is the Jahalla boss fight music. Legend of Zelda-The Windwaker.

  • I am just about to upgrade to wideband from turbo. I can't fucking wait tbh. Turbo isn't enough for my houses needs, to supply my desktop, iPhone, xbox, and a laptop with the bandwidth they need.

  • @makaveliarts That was the major reason I upgraded as well. There's 4 people including me that really use the internet & when we were all on at the same time on turbo it was painfully slow.

  • @1ComputerSavvyGuy I also can't wait to upgrade, sometimes we have 20 people using a turbo connection at the same time, and even with QoS, it is extremely slow. I wish FiOS was where I live so I could have 150mbps

  • @macprorocks I hope you're not referring to Verizon FIOS. Verizon just made a deal with several cable companies. Verizon will be getting wireless spectrum the cable companies own collectively & for it Verizon will be offering the cable companies cable service. There is a good chance FIOS won't be rolled out anymore. Check this DSLReport article fore more info . tinyurl . com / dynrxz6

  • Turbo's upload is really slow. I got that on verizon's 4-7 down plan. Now get .90 on their 7.1 - 15 down plan. I want that upload speed for the wideband. I am almost certain I will go with the 30 down 5 up plan.

  • That's cute because we have broadband and my down speed literally just fuckign said 1 mbps the first time I did it, in cincinnati OH. We have had wideband for 3 months and it worked amazingly at the beginning - i think they dicked with our bandwidth.

  • @Grenadeh I meant wideband.

  • @ALWAYS42O TWC and many other cable ISPs are notorious for putting a stupid cap on the upload speed. I'm sure if they wanted to they could make it 50mbps symmetric.

  • @1ComputerSavvyGuy ya i guess but twc is a crap provider. when i lived in alabama i was supposed to get 20/10 but really was getting 7/1.5 .. maybe its different everywhere else but ill never use it again

  • @1ComputerSavvyGuy ikr there upload sucks they need 2 make that good 2

  • @1ComputerSavvyGuy RR turbo has 1mbps cap, Extreme and Wideband have 5mbps cap, still better than my landlord's earthlink, frickin 1.7mbps with 100k upload

  • Okay so I currently have Turbo, and all I really do is surf the net, lots of youtubing (I like to watch in 720p and 1080p when the video has the option) and I play some Counter-strike on the computer and Black Ops on the PS3. Would you say I'd be getting much more of my money's worth by going with Road Runner Extreme for $60+tax a month or Road Runner Wideband $99+tax a month? Cuz $100 a month just for Internet is pretty high for me...I'm only one who uses Internet so I don't think it's needed.

  • @babyblueg4o9 There's barely any difference, if any, between Turbo and Wideband. The only real difference is how fast you download files, but for actual gameplay, the difference is very small. Time Warner is pretty crooked (although not as bad as Frontier) and will try to say that it will make a huge difference, but from personal experience, I can tell you it won't, and I know someone who builds his own gaming computers who told me the same thing.

  • @HeartOfTheNoob ah, okay. Thanks for answering my question, really do appreciate it a lot.

  • u should check out the fios speed thats wow

  • WHATS WRONG WITH MY ROAD RUNNER TURBO?!?!?!?!?!

  • I agree with JohnnySixString. I have RR Turbo and it fluctuates to the point things don't work. But when RR gives me the optional service I pay for, the Turbo option is great. I might add UPLOAD times are important too. I use a Verizon network extender to boost my cell signal from 1 to 5 bars in my home. But my RR Turbo UPLOAD speeds need to be above 1 for it to work. Fortunately I got them to boost it and everything works fine now. But in my home download speeds range from 17 to 23.

  • 50mps down + 4.5mps up= More Nubs pwoned online faster & harder!

  • Wow, the music actually sort of syncs with the numbers changing and the speed going up and down. o.O

  • I'd be more excited about this if roadrunner didn't just fuck my speeds. I used to get the same results with "turbo", but out of nowhere it dropped to about half. And it wasn't my computers. When I called them about it, they explained that I paid for speeds "up to".... and that's where they got me by the balls; They don't guarantee you'll get 20mbs, only that you'll get "up to" 20. So if you only get 10, tough shit. I downgraded from 'turbo', since the speed is now barely above 10 anyway.

  • Turbo here in Central Florida is 20/2 and RR Lightning is 40/5. Can't wait to get it.

  • One word... Wow!

  • Good Lord
