  • The person who is mortally wounded with a head wound and doesn't realize it is a Lynch theme. He had a similar scene in Wild At Heart when Dern and Cage found Sherilyn Fenn dying of a car wreck but ambulatory and raving about how she couldn't find her pocket. I swear, I am a hardcore horror fan but no one disturbs me down to my soul like Lynch.

  • i tought the tortured guy wit the blue velvet in his mouth was Frank

  • I saw this movie the other day......I didn't understand how the guy could be dead and move his arm........what's up with this?

  • The man in the yellow suit- Detective Williams' partner- was presumably shot in the head beforehand. He is still alive- though obviously brain damaged- until Frank returns and kills him.

  • This is a late response--sorry. I couldn't figure that out, either, which makes it even MORE disturbing. I got that he was braindead, but it makes it all kinds of creepy with the dead tortured guy with rigor setting in, and the dirty cop finally getting what he deserves.

  • He was alive. Brain damage. He twitched, really. I thought he was dead, but in the script it said he was alive.

  • The word is "lobotomized."

  • A Lobotomy is a procedure, not some crude bashing of the skull, and brain. A DIY Lobotomy, you might say.

  • This movie is eternal and if not for this....Would we have Pulp Fiction?
