God is offended by receiving Him on "dirty" hands(ONLY priest can touch Him) in the Holy Eucharist!
Only accepted by Heaven form of receiving living Heart of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist of the Catholic Church is into our mouth and on our both knees!
@KnBinHarmony nevermind, I just figured it out by ear!!! Capo 2: F, C, F, G, F, G, Am, F, G (that's for each verse). For "Do not be afraid" part: Am, C, G, repeat. If anyone has questions since this is a very vague answer, let me know! :)
There are tears running down my face because I am, God willing, going to be entering the convent in August and it has been very hard for me to think about leaving. This isn't what I was looking for but this is exactly what I needed right now.
for heidisimon: On August 2, 2007 Danielle Rose entered religious life as an aspirant with a community of Franciscan Sisters called "The Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ."
I had time to speak with her while on a small retreat that my church had sponsored. She is blessed by God and she can SEE JESUS in everything she does. She is truly a rose.
May God continue to bless others with a vocational call to Himself.
It may be sad that she doesn't get to see friends or family anymore, but that is the very essence of this song, she is not saying good bye to anyone, rather she is saying that we will be together in the Eucharist, as one in the Body of Christ...what could be more beautiful than to lay down one's life so that others may have life?
beautiful song/voice/girl...but i think it is sad that she's not allowed to see her friends anymore. i don't see how that benefits the body of Christ at all, or what the Scriptural backing is.
"I tell you the truth," Jesus said to them, "no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in the age to come, eternal life." - Luke 18:29-30
The answer is prayer. The answer is union with Christ.
i people were leaving their families and work to follow Christ and be discipled...i don't see why she needs to do that to pray. i'm not trying to criticize or argue...it just seems a shame. when someone puts their faith in Jesus' work on the cross and received the Holy Spirit, they are in union with Him:
"On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you."
i know she is doing it for love of God which is beautiful. just sad she can't be with her family
She is also leaving her family to follow Christ and be discipled, spiritually.
Jesus often went off by himself to pray. Paul spent up to 3 years in the desert after his conversion (Gal 1:18). John the baptist lived in the wilderness. These examples show that solitude can be beneficial to prayer.
Not every Christian can or should live this life. But there is value to it for those who do.
Yes, all of the faithful are in union with Christ, but we can always draw closer to Him.
The reason there is a limit on how often you can see your family is because of a few things. One, the order becomes your new family because entering a religious order is like getting married. Two, it is a hard demanding life and you need to be one hundred percent there. You can't have one foot in and one foot out.
