@CelsyCake I bet you were looking for eye shadow huh? A Book of Shadows (BOS) is a Witch/Wiccan's sacred book that holds all of his/her spells, potions, rituals, and magickal how-to's in Witchcraft. It's traditionally handmade with a black cover (black is the color of protection). It's so special that witches were either barrier with them, passed them down, or burned it so others can't find it.

This is megaman1339, but my other account, I'm making one that is 200 pages (100 leaves, I think or vice versa) 5.5x8.5, so half letter size. I'm at college, but my one professor is citing all the wood for me. Dark brown leather, with (if you are familiar with myst) a moiety dagger on the cover. Also, my professor makes his own fountain pens, so he is going to teach me how, and is going to let me make her a hand carved fountain pen. Honestly, I wasn't expecting that cool of a professor.

I've always been interested in Wicca, and Kinda want to look more into some of the things you guys do. Problem is, my parents are dead Atheist, and I don't think they'd like it if I picked up on a religion O.O But I'm reading the book series "Sweep" by Kate Teirman, and I love it! Wicca is really interesting! :)

@krisoke Yep, I did an update called "Update: BOS, gemstones, and surprise!" where I show all the new pages I've created. I've gotten some more done since then, but I've decided to write in the words first and go back and draw the borders and pictures so the pages right now aren't that exciting =/

@kirawine as for my God and Goddesses, it's all about the connection you feel with a specific God or Goddess, reguardless of the pantheon. Since I have a lot of Celt in my blood I chose to stay with the Celtic pantheon.
@kirawine Thank you so much for your comment :) For my Wiccan name I wanted something that described me, something to do with the water, horses, the color blue, and still be mysterious. So I started with my fav flower, Iris, then a sea creature that reminds me of Wicca, Seastar, something mysterious, Night, and a horse, philly.

@PandoraKyss Mine usually slant down ^^ To fix the problem I lightly draw lines a little bigger than college ruled paper in the space where I want to write, then when the ink is dry after writing (I use sharpie pen cuz it's quick and easy, but still looks nice) I erase the lines leaving fairly straight text :) Hope that helps?

@kirawine Thank you so much for your comment :) For my Wiccan name I wanted something that described me, something to do with the water, horses, the color blue, and still be mysterious. So I started with my fav flower, Iris, then a sea creature that reminds me of Wicca, Seastar, something mysterious, Night, and a horse, philly.

I have a question for you... How did you find your magical name? And how did you choose your gods? Wicca had many gods and goddesses that can be taken to represent the God and Goddess, but ... how you knew what was right for you?

I'm exactly the same with you on the journal thing ! i have loads that are empty, i love think books ! i made my BOS also. mine has 500 pages so roughly 1000 writing page sheet space. put it has'nt been made as good as your's lol all the best

Ugh I tried.. but my mind is like a well of many voices. Many insights and my ways just.. never really worked with ordered matters.
So my Bos, my bos is .. well not much. Ideas crystalize in my mind and that can take time.

@PandoraKyss Mine usually slant down ^^ To fix the problem I lightly draw lines a little bigger than college ruled paper in the space where I want to write, then when the ink is dry after writing (I use sharpie pen cuz it's quick and easy, but still looks nice) I erase the lines leaving fairly straight text :) Hope that helps?

Astonishingly beautiful! VERY well done. You've very good handwriting, and I admire your skill at keeping it all straight and lined up; I tend to 'veer' to one side.
