  • You knew "Dirty Dancing" on TV wasnt going to work.

"Raising Miranda" was doomed from the start, as well...

  • I DIDN'T KNOW DAT AL JARREAU SUNG DA THEME SONG 2 DA TV SHOW "MURPHY'S LAW"!!

  • wow Constance Marie was hot then and hot now.

  • Loved TV 101! Shame it only lasted a year!

  • Judging from the comments on here, I think Almost Grown would've lasted today. I know when my sister & I saw an ad for it on an old tape, we were like, "Damn! That looked good!" Alas, it can't be found on Hulu.

Ugh, horrible 80's mullet on Bryan Cranston.

I can't believe I'm actually admitting this, but I'm really digging the Murphy's Law theme song. lol.

As kids, we loved Dreyfus licking the camera on Empty Nest.

    Stacy Dash totally doesn't age.

    Oh, John Ritter. :(

  • Almost Grown certainly would have lasted today, with David Chase ('The Sopranos') having been behind it.

  • Bill Medley sang two theme songs in 1988. "Doin' it the best I can" from Just the Ten of Us and "I've had the time of my life" from DIrty Dancing.

  • @fdlgngbls: actually Teri Polo is best known as Pam Focker!

  • Wow, I feel like I am 12 years old again...

  • i did not know they made a dirty dancing tv show . and the tim daly show that looked good

  • All these montages demonstrate the reality of making it, or not, in show biz. Most of the cast in "TV 101," for instance I'm sure have never been heard from since, except for Matt LeBlanc.

  • Maggie Han looked like she was going places for awhile. She was on the TV adaptation of James Michener's "Space" and "Murphy's Law" following gigs as a spokesmodel. Then the last time I saw her, I think it was on L.A. Law or some such series with just one line in a phone pool. It was like later seeing Ericka Gimpel from "Fame" in an ad for Western Union's cash wiring service, although later she was on some kind of psychic detective show.

  • Is that Al Jarreau singing Murphy's law?

I had only remembered him doing Moonlighting..........

  • awww damn, John Ritter, miss that guy

  • MacGyver *blissful sigh*

From around ages 12 - 15, my bedroom door and closet doors were covered in magazine posters of Richard Dean Anderson.

    Teen geek lust.

  • Yeah, Dirty Dancing had Melora Hardin, who would later become Jan on "The Office."

  • I used to like 'Almost Grown' ; the few times I saw it anyway.Wouldn't mind seeing it again.I was looking on here just for that show. And TV 101?Never heard of it.I was probably out getting high with my girlfriend at the time. And how about those '80s hair styles?Hell, even the ugly chicks looked sexy!!

  • RDA ftw......RDA wud pwn chuck norris

  • Head of the class wuzthasheeeeiiiii-it!

  • Raising Miranda was one of the best fucking TV shows ever produced.

  • TV 101 was one of the best shows ever and should have had a long life on TV instead of 13 epidsodes! I wish they would come out on DVD.

  • I will admit..I've ALWAYS had a crush on Tim Daly. He was foxy as hell in "Wings", but I've never seen him in this show 'Almost Grown'.

  • I would love to see reruns of a show like Almost Grown or is it reran already?

  • Whoa, I don't know which is more startling, the fact that anyone else on the planet remembers "Raising Miranda" or that the dad from "Malcolm in the Middle" was in the cast. It's like...it's like...finding out the ditzy girl from "Molloy" went on to star in a fairly prominent NBC sitcom.

  • They Had a Hit Show with Ddesinging women till they changed it poople dont like change when there used to somthing lols

  • head of the class was a fun show

  • I never heard of "Almost Grown"..but the opening credits were the best i've seen so far! Then I noticed "David Chase".. from the Sopranos.. then it made sense why it was so cool :) (Also, Tim Daly is in some ep's of The Sopranos)

  • As we know, the NBC sitcom "Empty Nest" was a spinoff of one of the most remarkable sitcoms of the past-"The Golden Girls". "Empty Nest" was on longer than the parent series, and unfortunately(but a true fact), star Richard Mulligan passed away in 2000, and did NOT have a funeral.......

  • I didn't know there was a Dirty dancing tv show! holy cow!

  • I did not know that Jan Levinson-Gould was the female lead on that. I vaugely remember it being on the air. Most of these shows, I do not recall. I was a

lot younger and spent time with my friends and did not see much t.v.

  • now i remeber.

  • Jack O'Neill...when he had a mullet :)
