I refer to myself as a hipster, i tend to dress differently and listen to different music, but im not hard core indie (completely against mainstream) I will listen mainstream if it is good, and shop at some chain stores. But take me to a second hand store and ill be there for hours.

The indie bands mentioned in this video came out and were most relevant in the 80's and 90's It seems hipsters are just trying to be like the cool kids of that era except that they are too late and the bands formed by their peers suck balls. I saw Sonic Youth in the early 90's and they were massive. They rawked. I can't say that about Arcade Fire, Cults, etc. Booooooring.

Radiohead is amazing, their very different from the crappy mainstream bands like Fall Out Boy. Their lyrics, instrumentals are amazing.
