Highland Park was once one of the most prosperous areas in the state. However, nowadays, the whole city is comparable to the worst areas of Detroit without any of Detroit's redeeming qualities. I highly doubt that the Deroiters and suburbanites are coming in and making it bad for Highland Parkers, which just managed to get out of receivership. Nonetheless, I hope that this area improves. It has great potential with it's location along Woodward, being midway between Downtown and the suburbs.
