The guy singing as Adam was a little loud at times, but overall great cover. Me and my friend do a cover of Eden and its such a rewarding feeling when you can get the vocal harmonies down, good job.
amen, you guys did a great job. It's a lot better than some other covers, because you two don't have the best singing voices, but Guster sounds pretty lazy and country in this song, and it somehow fits great yet at 2:29 could have been much better. Remember, you can always add your own touch to someone's song, if you can't quite match up to their song, then just change it to what sounds good in your tone. The guy with the long (yet amazing) hair sounds like he's trying to hard in the interlud
technically, it is the right way to play it in standard tuning.. if i wanted to play the open DADF#AE like Guster did originally, i would have but this way was easier for my friend.
I dont think guster played it in DADF#AE ever. The tabs on the internet are all wrong. The high E string is tuned down to a D for sure, it's how he gets the effect on the D chord. Try DADFAD tuning. Play the verse with chords 000430, 400430, and 500430. This matches perfectly with the recording on the album. What do you think? I'm not sure what you guys did in the video, but it's a great performance anyway!
i play it just in drop D and the consistent D and A in the treble strings is from 3rd fret B string and the 2nd fret G string being held consistently for every chord in the verse with the bass going on the low E string: D (open), F#, G
I do the high E string tuned to D but the low one set normally. Instead of playing regular D and G chords I leave the high E string open (I forgot what thats called). Worked well for me.
the easiest way to play it is to put a capo backwards on the top 5 strings on the second fret (leaving the E open). Then you can get drop D sound but you can still play a regular G and use your thumb to change the bass notes. Its not exactly how they do it, but it sounds great and its really easy to do because you don't have to re-tune.

@esgadd Learn to take criticism dude(s), you're great at guitar but are horrible as a singer.

pretty good vocals, but your guitars arent tuned right... it should be in open d (both e strings are tuned down to d) but otherwise good

well you also have to play those inbetween notes..but that guy was right, good vocals,
and good guitar too, though imperfect.
