This is undoubtedly my favourite song to come from Palette-Swap Ninja. The lyrics and humour are perfect and I love Day Tripper. Also, this parody just sounds *really* nice; it's high quality and vocals sound excellent. Great job.
I had no idea that kicking some shitty asshole that sucks at games from a game makes them a rage quiter until I heard this song on TalkRadar. I guess Internet toughguy doucebag wouldn't match with the original song.
I thought it was a poor choice of song. The lyrics in the original are fairly repetative, so that limits you. It's a shirt, yet slow song, yet again limiting you in that regard in terms of jokes you can throw in. But, very good parody.
@OptimisticNihilistic It is a short song, but it's not slow. It's 140bpm. By contrast, "Halo ((All I Play-Oh))" is 104bpm. It has more density in the lyrics, but it's quite a bit slower. Also, you'll note we did not follow the same repetition of the original lyrics; it rhymes, but it does not repeat the way the original does. All these things are taken into account when we choose a song, and we do not let song length or original rhyming structure dominate -- we let the concept lead the way.
You guys should do a music video (Live one) and Dan and Jude riding bikecycles and it shows a man screaming at his TV playing MW2 or Black Ops to match the sound effects and song.
@bl00dyValen7ine Everybody has different tastes. I'm betting something you like a lot would make other people say "gross" and you wouldn't like to hear that, so, you know...a little acceptance goes a long way in this world.
